Since his mod has issues with newer versions of GoH, I decided to port some of the sound files to a local mod for personal use, now sharing it to everyone.

"This mod affects tanks and guns, i borrowed a few sounds from some MOWAS2 mods for richochets, as i thought it was a little too quiet with the WT sounds for that
This sound mod gives the tanks extra buffed sound.

I went over many of the richochet sounds and edited it to feel like a heavy projectile just hit you. Please keep in mind some ricochet sounds may not match up to their
real life counterpart, this is more for a cinematic experience! The mod also changes mortar sounds and using DOD:S sounds for the rocket launchers such as Panzerfausts and Bazookas

Some sound files have been altered, meaning that gun sounds are louder closer to the tank instead of the weird 25m range where its loudest that cta vanilla has."

Oh okay :steamthumbsup: I hope you two will be able to figure it out, I'm assuming it was due to an update but I have no clue when it comes to game path files or modding. At least the ricochet sounds still work and they sound super cool!

Me and Saxo talked about it some weeks ago, but we couldn't find the exact issue why the cannon sounds are not loading up.
I believe some other sound mods have the same issue.

Any updates? Or possibly a tutorial somewhere on how to overwrite the current cannon sounds with the mod sounds? :beeped:

@BroDimm any suggestions? I can take a look again once I get some free time.
@Prowlinger it's the fact that after replacing the sounds in their respective folders, you can still hear the vanilla cannons, I suspect it's the layered sound system the game uses that mask the cannon firing sfx or whatever.

Can you tell me exactly what isn't working? I will look and see if I can find out why it isn't working 100%. Please be very specific to paths or weapon types

For cannon sounds how about adapting from other successful sound mods for cannons? there are some. To my guess, should be different only in the sound files

Saxo was helping me setting up the cannons, sadly the system is too complex for me to figure out.
