Berlin Tegel i2030

Description
In June 2024, at a press event as part of the i2030 expansion project, quite specific expansion plans for the Berlin-Kremmen railway line were presented.
The core of this is the electrification of the main line from Hennigsdorf to Kremmen. However, a lot also changes in the area of the S-Bahn.
I took this as an opportunity to present this planned future state here.

For the first time since the Berlin Wall was built in 1961, the S-Bahn will run from Berlin to Velten again. This extension will be single-track with an intermediate stop at the new Hennigsdorf Nord station.
In Hennigsdorf, the S-Bahn will get its old platform back with two double-length sidings to park four 8-car trains. The mainline trains will now be completely relocated to another platform.
Inevitably the S-Bahn-line to Velten will cross the mainline from Hennigsdorf to Hohen Neuendorf-West.

In addition, the S-Bahn line Schönholz - Hennigsdorf will be double-tracked for the first time since 1945. This will enable a 10-minute frequency to Hennigsdorf.
As part of this, a new stop at Borsigwalde will be set up between Eichborndamm and Tegel. Furthermore, the station Karl-Bonhoeffer-Nervenklinik will be moved further towards Reinickendorf to ensure better connections to the subway.
With the double-track expansion of the S-Bahn, the mainline track to Miraustraße will be eliminated - trains to Miraustraße will therefore have to use one of the S-Bahn tracks from Schönholz to Karl-Bonhoeffer-Nervenklinik - assuming the workshop at Miraustraße still exists by then, which recent developments are currently calling into question. However, on this map it's still there.

That said, let's now look at the traffic. This follows the assumption that planned expansions in other locations will also be implemented as planned.

Between Bornholmer Straße and Wilhelmsruh there are the lines:

S1: Oranienburg - Wannsee (- Stahnsdorf Friedhof) (no.:10xx/15xx)
S15: Frohnau - Hauptbahnhof (no.:150xx/155xx)

But the focus of this map is line S25:

S25: (Velten -) Hennigsdorf - Teltow Stadt (- Stahnsdorf Sputendorfer Straße) (no.:250xx/255xx)

The regional train lines RB20 and RB28 are only slightly relevant to this

The RB20 (Oranienburg - Hennigsdorf - Potsdam) crosses the S-Bahn track to Velten in Hennigsdorf
and
the RB28 (Basdorf - Wilhelmsruh - Gesundbrunnen) passes by Schönholz on the mainline. This happens automatically and does not require any action from the player.

In addition, there are two trips to and from Miraustrasse. Since these now travel over the S-Bahn tracks, eventual S-Bahn trains have to divert on the other track.
The game again starts with the start of operations at 4am and ends at 6:30am. Starting trains from Tegel, Hennigsdorf and Velten have to be handled.
The route and travel times are again kept as realistic as possible. Signals where a standard route is specified or where there are no branches at all have the ∞ and can thus be automated. All other signals can be controlled via sensors.
The standard operation can therefore be fully automated. Only trains that start, trains that leave the map early at 6:30am and the occasional trips on the RB20 and to Miraustraße have to be managed by the player.

The map is now a bit more complex than Tegel in the present. I hope you like it.
Have fun with the rail traffic of the future.

Good map! I enjoy a map that doesn't require too much thinking on occasion, and this one was perfect for that. I played mostly without automation because that's how I generally prefer to play my timetables, so it was nice to make effective use of perpetual circuits. While the schedule was mostly repetitive, I really liked the occasional curveball thrown in that I had to think about - especially those two near the end that went in the opposite direction from every other train on their line.

I got a perfect score on my first try. Great work! Thanks!

I'm glad you like the map.
The map is set in the future. How the line will look then is mostly confirmed, but the schedule is just how I imagine it will be and is based on the present. I admit there is not much out of line so to speak. But I can take bit more creative liberties in the future.

Very nice, cute and quite automated map, not to think a lot about routine.
I wish there will be at least one more hour of playtime with hard traffic between Henningsdorf and main line
And a bit more and complex freights. That one against vector was an enjoying one to manage, wish there'll be one or two tricky freights more

Anyway, very nice map, I did enjoy it
