Epsilon Eridani = Ran System

*UPDATE 34-35 COMPATIBLE*
Turns out that with proper release, you can run the new update when below min. requirements, so I updated this simulation to fix a few peculiarities from changing vesions. Simulation looks alright on Version 34 too, although with some mild issues/differences.

This is my custom version of the Epsilon Eridani system, a part of a larger solar neighbourhood simulation where I added plently of my own fictional stuff.

Both here and in real life, Epsilon Eridani has a proper name - Ran, the name of the Norse goddess of the sea. The theme of Norse water-related things is roughly followed throughout the system.

Ran's properties are also the same as in real life - noticeably smaller and colder than our Sun, to the point of being a K-type star. Interestingly, it is more massive than the neighbouring G-type Tau Ceti, but also smaller and colder, with a luminosity under a third of Sun's. Spectral classes correlate with temperature, and Ran's temperature of 5049K is fitting for a K2V type star. It is also the closest solitary K-type star to Earth.
Ran is a young star, with estimates averaging out at 600 million years. So, even if it has fitting conditions for life, there was no time for it to form beyond most basic organisms. Although it rotates only moderately faster than our Sun, it is more magnetically active and has much stronger stellar wind. Ran is a BY Draconis-type variable star, with medium brightness fluctuations caused by chromospheric activity like starspots.

This system has 5 planets and a bunch of moons and dwarf objects. Kinda small, but makes it easier to fit description.
The system also has three debris disks from real life too.

AEgir is the only known real-life planet here, and the rest is fictional. I based the other two gas giants on a random chart of hypothetical planets, so IDK how accurate that is.

=Objects=

1. Skadi
A fictional rocky sub-Earth with over a third of Earth's mass and 70% the size. The surface of Skadi is grey and cratered, with minor signs of geological activity. Despite being the closest planet, its temperature is just above the comfortable range. The rotation is a bit slow, but far from being tidally locked.

2. Njordr
A fictional super-Earth covered in a lot of water and a thick atmosphere, it is twice more massive than Earth and a quarter larger. Although it is farther than Skadi and closer to the outer edge of the habitable zone, it's the hottest planet in the system due to the thick atmosphere and moderate albedo. Even though it has 127 times Earth's water, it's kinda fit for life and already has formed some microorganisms.
2-1. Nóatún
A relatively small moon with a brownish surface that has many craters and is interesting in general. The main artificial wormholes/portals connecting this system to others are located here.

D1. Njörun
The dwarf planet of the inner asteroid belt. A rather small rocky body, with its surface possibly suggesting lack of hydrostatic equilibrium.

Also notable: Ífingr

3. AEgir
The only real-life planet of the system, discovered by Doppler spectroscopy and orbital data refined by radial velocity measurements. It is the largest planet here, a gas giant with about 2/3s of Jupiter's mass and slightly larger in size. Although an ammonia cloud-dominated planet of Sudarsky Class I, like Jupiter and Saturn, its temperature is closer to that of Uranus than of Jovian planets; to which it's also similar in being the innermost gas giant near the asteroid belt. Although, it's more saturated than usual, which could mean the presence of other cloud materials like sulfur ot organics.
3-1. Bylgja
The most massive moon in the system, slightly more massive than Ganymede but much denser. It is an icy moon with a subsurface ocean, which is another potential spot for life. The surface of Bylgja is very bright white and has both cracks and craters.
3-2. Himinglæva
An icy hydrocarbon moon like Titan, but less massive and smaller. It has both a subsurface ocean and methane lakes (although the game refuses to simulate the lakes). Both of these things make this world another possible place for life to form, both usual and exotic. Make atmosphere color brighter if on V34.
3-3. Dúfa
A rather reflective icy moon slightly smaller than our Moon. It's cratered and has no subsurface ocean. All major moons of AEgir are not tidally locked and have resonance-based rotation periods.

D2. Bára
A medium-sized icy dwarf planet, colored in warm shades due to organic compounds. It rotates remarkably fast, which would likely give it an elongated shape.

At this point it's getting dark, but still visible. You can compare how it looks in realistic lighting mode and the other one you chose.

4. Hlér
The second gas giant, noticeably less massive than Saturn but only slightly smaller. This planet is extremely cold, causing its appearance to be mostly hazy-cloudless Neptunian with occasional cold clouds of nitrogen or oxygen. However there is also a similarity to Saturn in the form of a prominent ring. In it, there is a ring gap caused by the resonance with moon Dröfn, similar to Mimas-caused Cassini Division in rings of Saturn.
4-1. Dröfn
A small icy moon with active geology, like Enceladus. The resonance of moons heats up all of them, creating a subsurface ocean here, making it another good spot for life. Surface is cracked, but somehat less bright than that of Enceladus.
4-2. Hefring
A large icy moon, comparable to Pluto in size. It also has a tidally enhanced active geology, creating many cracks between occasional craters. Life-friendly subsurface ocean should be present too (the game doesn't simulate it here and on previous moon though). The surface is of medium brightness and orangish in color from organic and similar gunk.
4-3. Unnor
The largest in size moon of the system, comparable to our Titan but marginally less massive and less dense. A lot of its mass is ices and a large subsurface ocean is present. Organic compounds color the surface in bright orange patches.
4-4. Hrönn
A small moon with dark surface and distant, more inclined orbit. While you could assume that it's a captured object, several features tell that it formed as a normal moon.

From here on, it's completely dark and you have to fully change from the realstic lighting mode.

D3. Näck
A centaur-like object with a surface colored in deep orange-brown by organic compounds. Seems to be in or close to 1:2 orbital resonance with Hlér.

5. Gymir
The outermost full planet, another frigid cloudless-blue gas giant, this time with rare clouds of neon. It's much less massive than Saturn, but still of similar size, resulting in very low density. The outermost debris belt is in a 2:3 resonance with it, including Snær.
I submitted it for object competition once, but my attempts at making it darker made its colors more dull.
5-1. Kólga
A small low-density icy moon with color dark from radiation and various gunk. It looks pretty cratered.
5-2. Blóðughadda
A medium-sized moon of brilliant reddish-pink color from organic compounds combined with geological activity. It is visibly a captured dwarf planet.

D4. Snær
Very pale icy dwarf planet with parameters like Eris. Coldest body here due to high albedo.
D4-1. Nivis
Decently sized moon for a dwarf planet, it and Snær are tidally locked to eachother. Barycenter is still inside Snær though.

D5. Fornjót
A medium-sized dwarf planet with a dark reddish surface, similar to Gonggong in that and current distance too. It's the most distant object included in the simulation.
