RAVENFIELD REMASTERED
Its vanilla ravenfield, tweaked from the ground-up to be as “realistic” (as in, having triple A modern graphics) as possible. The mod was curated to include graphical changes (including a Reshade Preset), improved weapons and vehicles, and high quality maps. Enjoy!

The Reshade Preset is necessary for the mod to work correctly. Here is how to install it:
1: Subscribe to this workshop addon like a normal mod.
2: Open directory, and go to (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\636480\3348678470)
3: Change the Ravenfield Realism file from .txt to ini and drop it in the Ravenfield folder. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ravenfield)
4: Install reshade by going to their website (https://reshade.me/#download)
5: Open reshade, click the ravenfield icon, and select DirectX 10/11/12
6: A list of every shader should appear. Just in case, get all of them
7: Open the ReShade menu with the home key (skip tutorial if you want)
8: At the bottom of the interface, there should be an "edit global preprocessor definitions" button. Click on it and in the dropdown menu it opens, change the "RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_UPSIDE_DOWN" from a 0 to a 1.
9: After doing all of that, go to the big blue bar and check its getting the files from the ravenfield folder.
10: If everything works correctly, you should be able to select presets.

Alternatively, you could follow a video tutorial:
https://youtu.be/NIFmG29Ncug?si=SraQFPKL97UKVvEI
Just simply download "Ultimate Chiller's Ravenfield Realism", found in #reshade-presets-plus

IMPORTANT: This preset is best used when disabling the default Ambient Occlusion, Bloom and Color correction, in video settings
It is also reccomended that you use "More Visual Config" and tick on "Clear Post-Processing Filters"

WHY I DID THIS
A while ago, i saw a video by ratlobber that was essentially making GMOD and L4D2 as realistic as possible. I felt that ravenfield could be a good fit for this kind of modding overhaul, so i tried my best to recreate that in ravenfield. Here was my process, and how i did it.

PHASE 1 - Graphics
First, I tried to make ravenfield look better at its base. I tried installing some workshop mods that enhanced the game graphically (reflection probes + more visual config). Some of these are off by default (day-night cycle, weather effects, sun editor and material replacement), but can be turned on for further effect.

PHASE 2 - Better vanilla weapons + vehicles
Then, I tried to overhaul the vanilla weapons as best as I could. Luckily, there was a really high-quality weapon collection that revamped every vanilla weapon (Arsenal Overhaul).
After that, I tried revamping the vanilla vehicles. Luckily, a mod did a very good job at expanding upon the mechanics of vanilla vehicles, so I inserted that.
I also got a better default skin, a remastered version of the vanilla skin.

PHASE 3 - Realistic weapons + vehicles
But a nice weapons pack would not suffice. I needed to make a very good realistic preset, with better skins, weapons and mechanics. Since Ravenfield is divided into two teams, it was my decision to make the eagles a counterpart to the united states army, and the ravens the russians.
Luckily, there was a really good assortment of weapons from Modern Warfare that allowed me to get a decent collection of weapons., even if it isn’t really that balanced.
Following that, I got an incredible collection of vehicles that tried to emulate the vanilla gameplay, while looking very cool.
Then I also found a decent skin pack, some cool HD rigs, to get that tacticool feeling.

PHASE 4 - Realistic weapons + vehicles
But a nice weapons pack would not suffice. I needed to make a very good realistic preset, with better skins, weapons and mechanics. Since Ravenfield is divided into two teams, it was my decision to make the eagles a counterpart to the united states army, and the ravens the russians.
Luckily, there was a really good assortment of weapons from Modern Warfare that allowed me to get a decent collection of weapons., even if it isn’t really that balanced.
Following that, I got an incredible collection of vehicles that tried to emulate the vanilla gameplay, while looking very cool.
Then I also found a decent skin pack, some skins from Squad, to get that tacticool feeling.

PHASE 5 - Maps
With the vehicles and weapons being completely changed, now it was time to add some cool maps. I found several kinds of maps, ranging from more consistent with the game style, to incredibly beautiful maps that may explode your computer.

PHASE 6 - Gameplay mechanics
With the base game completely modified to oblivion, I wanted to change the mechanics. I decided to add every realistic mutator I could find, but that ended up crashing my computer, so I reduced the mod amount. But i still think it looks decent.
I also wanted to add external mods, like tracers and better camera movements (a bepinex mod)
You can also add better bot AI by using standup’s dll, but this is not compatible with the better camera movements.

PHASE 7 - Finishing touches
Now that the configuration was finished at last, i decided to make some finishing touches. Firstly, I would release 2 configurations, one that was the remaster of the game (Version 1.0, up to phase 2) and one that was the game modded to oblivion (Version 2.0, up to phase 4), while including a only desert camo and only wood camo (sadly there is no snow camo). The maps and mutators are in separate collections, but i would recommend installing the configs and the maps

The following configuration is a result of this experiment. Hope you enjoy!
