OVERVIEW

A complete overhaul of Terrain, Weather and Roads aspects of the game for a Cuban/Caribbean/Latin American experience.

This is focused on overhauling the "Tropical/Asian" climate that came with the "Biomes DLC". Unfortunately, due to how some of the game files are located, my mod also impacts the vanilla/temperate biome - this is unavoidable. So, I recommend that only players that are going to play with the tropical biome use this mod.

The main goal here was to create a more vivid and lush environment for all players that are immersing themselves in a Latin American playthrough.

INSTALLATION

To install, follow those steps:
1- Go to your Soviet Republic workshop folder in steam. It should look like this: "Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\784150".
2- There, locate the folder "3348361226".
3- Inside it, you will find a "media_soviet" folder. Just copy it and drop in the root folder of Soviet Republic, which should be "Steam\steamapps\common\SovietRepublic".
4- Overwrite everything when asked and enjoy!

To uninstall, just verify the integrity of your games files... Steam will, automatically, replace all my files with vanilla files.

NOTES

Note 1: use the cheatmenu and the landscapping tool and use the vanilla/temperate trees to decorate your cities (in my mod, they're replaced with smaller versions of the tropical trees).

Note 2: this is a personal mod that I decided to share. As such, I will happily fix any bugs, but don't expect me to change anything here just to cater to some personal requests from fellow users. I'm pretty satisfied with my mod as it is.

Note 3: I suggest playing with "Clouds" on Low. On higher settings they make teh sky too overclouded, making the atmosphere a little too grey.

CREDITS

I have largely been inspired and, in some cases, have even used some files (always with personal edits) from other mods. I recommend everyone to check them out:

Nice work! Let me know if you have any questions about how to do stuff with textures and lighting etc, as I've learned quite a lot making my texture/lighting mods :)

@Dixie Country (kaantaveeti), hello! So, the "Cuba Project" will be a series of mods made by me intended at creating a complete "Caribbean" atmosphere to the game. This includes overhaul of textures (world and citizens) and inclusion of several buildings (of all types). Consider this like a light unofficial biome :)

As for your suggestion... I might make some "early start" stuff, but it will surely not be my priority. I'm focused on working on the vanilla timeframe.

Thanks!

You should do early start pack with early 1900s village, City and plantation houses.
