Description
Intended to be used as part of the modular increased difficulty experience: Genetics, Death & Difficulty

Overview
Nye's Aggressive AI is designed to breathe new life into the strategic layer of the game by making your AI opponents more dynamic and challenging. In the base game, the AI can often feel passive, failing to capitalize on opportunities or pose a meaningful threat in warfare. This mod tackles this by making the AI more aggressive in its declarations, willing to take greater risks in targeting stronger foes and pressing advantages decisively. Furthermore, the AI is now equipped to maintain a proper fighting force, actively using Men-at-Arms and will spend more aggressively on mercenaries to overwhelm enemies. Combat engagements are also altered, with AI units being less likely to retreat and more prone to chasing down smaller or faster forces, leading to more decisive battles rather than endless siege cycles. The ultimate goal is a more vibrant and unpredictable world where the AI is a truly formidable and active participant, capable of maintaining its realm and providing a consistent challenge.

Other features
  • AI Rulers have been given agency. They are now actually active participants in the world.

  • Ambitious characters have been given a nudge in terms of their aggression. Regardless of government type, they also always have access to the County and Duchy Conquest CB.

  • Ambitious characters look for means of expansion more regularly.

  • Top Lieges alongside ambitious characters will actually fill out their Men-at-Arms regiments and make things happen, in terms of aggression. (Of course, their behaviour type still plays a significant role in their decision making.)

  • Ambitious characters are better at keeping the realm stable.

  • AI adventurers actually fill out their men-at-arms.

Does this cause the world to turn crazy faster? I like the world staying mostly same imo.

I would really appreciate that! Outside of that one wargoal issue, your mod makes AGOT quite a bit more lively with way more conflict.

When Megawars happen in AGOT, some vassals will become neutral and will be temporarily independent. The mod places restrictions on what cbs you can use when in this state as they dont want you declaring war on your liege/other neutral vassals; However this mod leads to multiple ambitious conquests against whoever holds the iron throne even though vassals should not be able to use conquest war goals against their liege.

Is it possible to optimize the AI's choice for what to siege first? For an example, I have noticed the AI will go after the first holding they can land at if fighting a island realm when it would make the war far quicker to go for the capital that is on the coast.

@dbelljr06 Unfortunately, in multiplayer with this mod and on "hard" difficulty, there is constant desync; as soon as we turned it off, the error stopped appearing. In single-player, though, everything seems to work just fine.
