Adds new dialogue, friendly relations, and randomized recruits to Hives Expanded.

I had been meaning to make this addon for a while, but I had a very difficult time mapping out what exactly I wanted to add. For now, it primarily focuses on the Southern Hive by allowing you to have neutral and allied interactions with them, with a few additions to the Western Hive as well.
I would have liked to make more changes to the Western Hive, but I hesitated to make these choices and felt it would be better to decide on it later with feedback.

Reaching different relations with both hives can be accomplished in different ways. I have not added a new method to end hostilities with the Southern Hive, but you can still use vanilla methods to accomplish it. One way is to injure their queen and heal her, but the relations gain only works if you have both a first aid kit and skeleton repair kit in your inventory when you do it.

Here's a list of notable changes:
  • The Southern Hive will no longer provoke fights if you have neutral relations with them. Their default relations are still hostile.
  • The Western Hive will now trade with your hivers if you reach allied relations with them.
  • Adds a Southern Exile gamestart to begin with neutral relations and a blue character color scheme. Southern hiver subraces are now playable.
  • Adds dialogue to the Southern Hive's princes guarding the Queen to gain relations if you have defeated Savant, Elder, or the western Queen.
  • Adds dialogue to Western Hive traders and royal soldiers to gain relations if you have defeated the southern Queen.
  • Adds a trader squad to Southern Hive villages with wares mostly identical to Western Hive traders.
  • Updates Hiver-Claimed Armouries to stock Southern Hive gear including high-grade weapons. You must be allied before you can shop there.
  • Adds a map of the Southern Hive, sold primarily by themselves.
  • Allows allies to ask Southern Hive patrols to bodyguard you or protect your base. This is free and has 2 "charges" with cooldowns.
  • Adds a Western Hive weapons trader caravan that visits the bases of allies in the same range as normal caravans.
  • Adds recruitable drifter ronins from both hives that randomly spawn in nearby populated biomes and seek towns to hang out in. They can be any subrace, with praetorians being the rarest by far.
  • Adds a Southern Ronin dialogue package for player characters, used by the new exile start, recruitable ronins, and members of the Southern Hive faction if you recruit them by other means.
  • Makes praetorians selectable in character creation and adds them to both exile starts, only for player freedom.
  • Changes the vanilla exile start to use the pre-existing ronin dialogue package and a red Hives Expanded color scheme.
  • Adds new neutral comments for Southern Hive patrols and the Queen's bodyguards spotting the player. Also prevents their trespasser warning from immediately turning hostile.
  • Changes the name of Southern Hive "Ronins" to "Samurai" to be consistent with vanilla word usage.

If you recruit any southern hivers, I recommend using a dialogue fix mod due to oversights in the vanilla race checks. I have my own uploaded version, but you can also use different mods that combine the race groups if you just want the dialogue to become functional.

Oooh, that's ok, I hope that in a future we can see a continent filled to the brim with them pink bugmen. Yep, I knew about the SH growth in pressence over the continent when the Western Queen gets killed, but we barely held against Valamon, so the evil queen will have to wait. Thanks for the response!

I haven't added any new town overrides, so the Southern Hive will only expand as far as they do in vanilla. That being said, if you eliminate the western queen you'll see southern invasion patrols in many new places.

Hi! I love the addons you made for Hivers Expanded, I'm currently playing an Southern Hive only run, made a warband/merc group affiliated with the Southern Hive. The plan is to take over the entire continet. I know that normally SH take over Reaver Camps and other places belonging to the southeastern bandits, but will they keep expanding towards the rest of the continent if I go around destroying everything? Like UC, HN, SK, the western hive, etc. Or do the takeovers end on the south?

I had wanted to do this, but I realized the southern hive would attack most of your other allies (or any other locals) on sight, which is really unfortunate. Instead I made sure you can ask them to bodyguard you, so the player is in control of whether they help or not.

I also wanted to make the western hive support the player more, but they have a bad habit of healing everyone who is unconscious, even your enemies. I tested both in the past, and it was... inconvenient.

It would be nice if the southern hive, when on good terms, would send reinforcements to the player's base, like other factions do.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear there was an issue between the mods. I haven't used Living World myself, but I hope it's not severe.

Found the real issue I was having. It was a conflict with the Living World mod. It altered The southern hive world states and triggers, disabling the mod fixed the issue.

If you use the FCS, the easiest option would be to delete the dialogue from that mod. However, you can also preserve it if you remove the queen from the southern hive race group, then they shouldn't overlap anymore.
