The Phoenix Starworks Starlancer

The Starlancer is a Level 7 Starter SV for Reforged Eden 1&2 and Vanilla. Starlancer features an accessible rear compartment which can house a number of devices, from shield, warp, shield extenders, CPU, and can even extend the cargo. The Starlancer can fulfill a number of roles for any player starting out; including medium fighter, warp capable interceptor, or a small haul miner, or anything in between.

The Starlancer is the successor to the venerable Sarissa SV.

Hello kindred Empyrion spirits!

Let me start with a request; please respect blueprint authors. Often it takes months to finesse a build, and to have it ripped and reuploaded without permission or even so much as credit, can be discouraging, often pushing such authors away from the community.

I personally don't mind critical feedback, and constructive criticism, as it will serve me to better my builds. However, If you enjoy my content, and there is much more to come, respect my (and others) authorship of these massive timesinks. Thank You.

HOW TO CHANGE THE COLOR SCHEME

1. First copy the desired color code found either here, or inside the Sarissa's compartment with control C.
2. While looking at the ship with color/texture tool out, right click to open texture palette, then click configure.
3. Your green selection box should be over the top left color. If not, left click it to select.
4. Now while holding down shift, left click the bottom right color box, then in the left UI box, hit paste.
5. Once done, your new palette should apply, but to lock it in you have to hit OK under the color palette box.

Armament

While only coming with 2 gatling guns, the Starlancer can later mount a number of additional weapons, including 2-3 turrets for considerable punch when going against a range targets.

Armor

the rear compartment is mostly encased in steel, with some link-ins from thrusters, though the player can opt to close off those chain reactions by trading out compartment space, with armor blocks to mitigate chain reaction. Additionally there is some steel on the forward hull to block some shots leading into cockpit area.

Thrusters

The Starlancer features a wide variety of thruster mounting points on all axis, which should give a sufficient level of movement when fully utilized. With RE2, the thrusters can be upgraded to truly turn the fighter into an agile platform

Features and Devices

Comes with Wifi, detector, fridge, and oxygen dispenser, as well as an armor locker.

Storage

The Starlancer comes stock with 1500 ammo, and 2500 Harvest, both of which could be expanded if the player chooses to spend compartment space in that direction.

Lore and History

Phoenix Starworks sought an overhaul to its aging Sarissa fighters. Although successful as a light fighter and scout, the Sarissa began to struggle once payloads and enhancements were stacked on.

Customers liked the potential of the craft, though felt it wasn't optimized. The result was the Starlancer program, which saw the Sarissa grow in scale to accomodate additional thrusters.

With additional feedback from pilots regarding weapon placement, such as the legendary "Splatterypants", the Starlancer began to fulfill the potential that couldn't be realized in later stages of the Sarissa Program.

Oh, thank you Powermonkey for the gracious words :)

I will forever be jealous of builders that can make a ship both sexy AND an extremely sensible choice for a starter vessel.

Yes, there is a limit that you can have. You'll have to make some space

Those are some kind words, thank you Grim. There will be plenty more of that to come, including a whole ship line based on the aesthetic of the Starlancer o7

I had downloaded this ship schematic a few weeks back, spawned it into a creative to test and examine it and was impressed by the design, but it wasnt until yesterday that I truly discovered how amazing this ship really is. I love this ship! Its sleek design is matched by its performance and utility. I currently have my Starlancer equiped with a shield, 2 laser drills, and two plasma cannons, as well as its gats, and a short range warpdrive. Only took me two basic and one improved CPU, and I still have so much room and upgradability to it, it blows me mind. And you had already installed a harvest module into it in prep for someone using it for mining, outstanding!

I am a very proud and happy owner of one. Fantastic work, you earned yourself a loyal watcher of your builds, and I look forward to continue use of the Starlancer in every playthrough I do, as well as see what other things you have created! My compliments to you.

Thank you Darth Nord Stein, Pear, and Moobear

@Hotair Thank you for the kind words. 20 minutes is one of the shorter videos too XD
Hotair Jul 24, 2024 @ 3:32pm
I was hesitant to watch a 20 minute video describing a pre-built ship, but holy moly was that worth the time spent. It's amazing just how much you've packed into this thing, not to mention how you've prepared it for upgrades. Between the subtle markings for additions and the X markings for where to stop, I'm just beyond impressed. I look forward to using this ship for years to come as well as combing through your other workshop content.

Seriously, well done.
