I get you ran into a technical difficulty but you didn't link any of the mods you say "subvert" the no attrition effect so I am not really sure what to look for.

Man I desperately want the adjustable armies mod but no attrition??????? That kind of ruins the game...........

it's so unfortunate that this essentially breaks the AI. It was a good idea, but this no attrition completely ruins it
