Equal faction potential

Description
This mod equalises the potential of every faction at the beginning of the campaign via script. Should work with any custom factions. It also makes it so minor factions get the same base income as major ones.

Thanks to Drazhir in Da Modding Den for helping me with the mod's script.

"Dynamic Faction Strength & Starting Armies" has superseded this mod, as it gives you MCT control over faction potential, and you can equalize giving them whatever base you want.

I'm really busy with real life work so I'm not maintaining or fixing my mod score the time being.

yes, this mod reduces all FP to 0 instead of equalizing at an average base, thus making hard feel like easy.

i think,, with this mod all factions become weak. i'm at turn 55 and all AI armies still consist of tier 1, 2 and 3 units.. only garrisons have better units cause im using a better garrisons mod

No problem, I'll check redundancies when I have time, but in any case, activating both shouldn't hurt any of them, so you can keep it linked with no problem.

i completely agree with you. the bias for major factions is such a paradox to a sandbox game, which a strategy game like total war should be.
I also disable confederations and replace them with vassalization and many more anti-snowball mods.

I'm using it in my own playthroughs and I feel it makes small factions thrive more instead of everybody being gobbled up by the major factions a few turns in.

I'm combining it with other mods disabling AI confederation and making other changes to their behavior, but yeah, I'm satisfied on how it works. Makes for a more balanced and less "gamey" feel to the map. I don't think LL should always be winning more battles just because more dev time has been invested into them and they look cooler.

i think it already influenced my new campaign to some variables that didnt happen before.

To combat this, you can use either "Unnatural Selection Ultimate" or "Dynamic Faction Strength & Starting Armies" and apply an equal flat bonus to every army if you want.

To be truthful, I made the mod mostly for myself and shared just for other people to have it available, then it seems to have become the most popular and controversial mod I've published to date. Maybe I'll update the description to be more clear in the future, bit for mow I'm enjoying playing the new patch, so no ETA.
