Rabbit Burgher's Tweaks: Anyone can be a Knight
RBT: Anyone can be a Knight allows anyone to be a knight or commander, subject to choices made in the game rules. At minimum (and by default), the mod will remove prowess requirements and allow players to be knights (as well as providing the option to take a decision to opt out of serving as a knight) for their liege. With the most liberal game rules, gender restrictions are ignored, clergy of any faith can fight and any age characters will be eligible to serve.

Game Rules
  • Ignore gender restrictions?
    • Ignore gender restrictions: Martial custom, or religious gender restrictions without royal court, is ignored for eligibility to serve as a knight or command an army.
    • Use martial custom: Martial custom, or religious gender restrictions without royal court, determines who can fight as a knight or command an army.
  • Allow all clergy to fight?
    • Normal restrictions: Normal religious rules are used to determine if clergy can fight.
    • All clergy can fight: Clergy can fight without restrictions.
  • Age to serve as knight or commander
    • Any age can fight: Eligible characters of any age (including infants) can fight as knights or command armies.
    • Only adults can fight: Only eligible adults can fight as knights or command armies.

If you run into any issues with the mod, please do tell me in the comments.

Yeah it is, but don't take it for 100% sure, it's just the volunty of a part of the devs and nothing really officially announced but many (me too) thinks that would be a part of being an unlanded character.

Wow, that's a very clever solution to count the player as their own employer. Sadly I don't think that could be implemented via a mod. The news about the future update is definitely encouraging though.

Here's the post, i would have included it in the file.
Yes they have to put the approach on two steps instead of a single one.

Would you be happy to send that forum post? I'd quite like to see how they did it; I'd assume they broke down their approach.

I've sent you a friend request so i can share the files privately.

Found an old mod who need save editing and was never upload but only shared on Paradox Forum because of the difficulty required. Apparently it got somewhat broken in an update but i've tested it and it works. Maybe now that they are changing the rules the devs unvoluntarily repaired it. If you want i can share the link.

Oh wow, that's very impressive. What was the solution to have the ruler as the knight in their own army?

And that sounds like good news that it might be made redundant by a future update.

Hey, if you are still interested i found a solution that works perfectly. Unfortunatly it requires save game editing but maybe you could find a workaround.
By the way, reading on some threads on paradox forum i think the devs may add the possibility in the base game, maybe with the last dlc of this year.
