Yeah it is, but don't take it for 100% sure, it's just the volunty of a part of the devs and nothing really officially announced but many (me too) thinks that would be a part of being an unlanded character.

Wow, that's a very clever solution to count the player as their own employer. Sadly I don't think that could be implemented via a mod. The news about the future update is definitely encouraging though.

Here's the post, i would have included it in the file.
Yes they have to put the approach on two steps instead of a single one.

Would you be happy to send that forum post? I'd quite like to see how they did it; I'd assume they broke down their approach.

I've sent you a friend request so i can share the files privately.

Found an old mod who need save editing and was never upload but only shared on Paradox Forum because of the difficulty required. Apparently it got somewhat broken in an update but i've tested it and it works. Maybe now that they are changing the rules the devs unvoluntarily repaired it. If you want i can share the link.

Oh wow, that's very impressive. What was the solution to have the ruler as the knight in their own army?

And that sounds like good news that it might be made redundant by a future update.

Hey, if you are still interested i found a solution that works perfectly. Unfortunatly it requires save game editing but maybe you could find a workaround.
By the way, reading on some threads on paradox forum i think the devs may add the possibility in the base game, maybe with the last dlc of this year.

Hey. i had a talk with XJ-9 the autohr of Players Can Be Knight. He told me that the mentioned file is a dead end, and he tryed to alter it too but to no avail... Sad but true. Hope you will have more luck with the search. Cannot understand why paradox is so against the idea of players being able to fight in battle whit their godtier prowess ruler...

So, from what I can tell from the can_be_knight scripted rule, that appears to be primarily for passing along the army leader to the trigger. However, I think the code that calls can_be_knight (and thus selects who is eligible for it) isn't accessible to modders. Thank you for the idea to look into that though; I'd not noticed that file.

Hi again. About being a knight in your own army: i've found a folder called scripted_rules, there is only a file inside called 00_rules.txt that contain triggers about being a knight, i've saw you haven't altered it. I've tried to but basicly just obtained what your mod already does... but could it be the solution?

Thank you very much, let me know if you figure it out eventualy, i would love to fight in my own army.
Someone long ago was able to via save editing but Royal Court broke that method.

I'm afraid not. Would have been amazing if I had that figured out but this still only applies to courtiers and vassals rather than also including the player.

Thanks though; I'll make that clearer in the description

Hi! Does this mod allow yourself to be a knight in your own army without a liege?
