Lets you extract seeds from subterranean tree logs, plant them as a crop, harvest a sapling/fungling after a few months (or years for more exotic trees) and process it into wood and seeds. Logs and funglings are processed into seeds and wood at the carpenter's workshop using the woodcutter labor.

Saplings/funglings do not grow in the wild to avoid having two versions of each tree coexisting. Their seeds are made when a log is processed into seeds, which are then grown in farm plots.

Growth durations on farm plots:
Fungiwood: 9 months
Tower cap: 12 months
Spore tree: 18 months
Black-cap: 21 months
Goblin-cap: 21 months
Tunnel tube: 24 months
Blood thorn: 30 months
Nether cap: 36 months

Farm plot trees occupy a single tile after fully grown, and yield 1 log and 1-4 seeds when processed. They do not block movement. Generally, 1 seed results in 1 sapling/fungling - skilled planters and fertilizer may increase it to 2. The log itself can be separately processed into 1-2 seeds, which sacrifices the log.

Features custom graphics for each underground tree type.

To get the seeds of an underground tree, get a log (buy from your civilisation or chop down trees in the caves), then select an option such as "process nether cap log into seeds" in the Carpenter workshop.

To process a fungling into wood and seeds, select an option such as "process nether cap fungling into wood and spawn" in the Carpenter workshop.

Have you considered doing a version for the fruit producing surface trees? Process them into some fruits, a log, and seeds?

Thanks for the quick fix! Had a little problem migrating to the new version on an existing save. If you update and it still works like V 1.00, just copy the contents of the new (101) folder into the Cave Tree Farming(100). That I'm guessing is a DF or steam bug.

Hey I really like this mod but I wanted to ask on the "Process X fungling into wood and seeds" the task is done with no access to funglings and uses no items at the carpenters workshop. Is this the intended behavior?

It is very likely that trees grown on farm plots do not count towards the "trees felled" count.
