History
The first DR1 was created in the 60s in the at the Riga carriage factory (RVR). An example was the Hungarian DMU D1.
Over time, many modifications of the Riga Diesel were produced: DR1M, DR1P, DR1A and DR1B with a new cabin.
DR1A was designed in 1976. The main difference was that the train's generator could work as a starter.
Currently it is operated in Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

How to Start!

1. Toggle all flip switches in the electrical cabinet and push button "take control" (it is behind the driver).
2. Release Hand brake and push "Start 1".
Wait until the diesel starts (during a cold start this may take some time)
3. Turn on in correct lights (It depends on what track you are on, in which direction you are moving and what time of day.)
4. Sit in the driver's seat and move the reversing handle forward. (up/down reversible handle control)
5. Move the brake lever all the way forward, it is to the right of the driver (a/d).
6. Turn the throttle handle clockwise to position 1 - it s idle, it is to the left of the driver (w/s).
7. Launch the tail section in the same way as the first, except that you do not need to press the “take control” button. !!! DON'T FORGET THE HANDBRAKE!!! You can also start or stop the engine of the tail section while in the head section by pressing the "START 2" button
8. To move backward, remove the gas and move the reverse handle back - "down" button.

Congratulations!!! The diesel train has been successfully assembled.

To change controls, just press (sometimes press twice) “Take Control”.
