It's been a while since I've touched the code for this mod but Bouncing Bursts and Energyspheres sitting on the ground after not moving is a quirk of how it's implemented, I think if this mod was refined further in the future then explosives spells (ie firebolt, nuke, explosive projectile modifiers and so on) should ignore bounce rules and explode the moment they hit an enemy.
It would also be good to explore the idea of how bouncing spells would interact with piercing, should they bounce off on the first hit or travel through the target ignoring bouncing properties?
I think there's a lot of room for improvement of the concept I don't feel I can dedicate the time to, but if a modder ends up making a fully fledged mod out of this tech demo I would love to see it in action one day.
Good concept, annoying to work with in practice.
