Make your modding easier with this mod resource. "Dungeon Template - Mod Resource" aims to provide a ready-made , easy to understand, and easy template for creating your own unique dungeon. Creating a dungeon has never been more easier!


Note: This resource will contain "READ ME" text files that are sprinkled throughout.

Info on how certain things function is provided even though the basic assumption is that whoever subscribes to this mod is already well-versed in modding DD.

Note: The template itself is based on the Ruins. Feel free to change it as you see fit.

The template contains everything needed for creating a dungeon:

• audio - contains .json files for dungeon's battle music, ambience, and etc.
  
• campaign - quests and quest generation
  
• curios - optional curio library for dungeon specific curios
  
• dungeons - contains dungeon's hall tiles, backgrounds, mash files, and etc.
  
• effects - effects relating to the dungeon. Traps, curio buffs, and etc.
  
• loading_screen - loading screen .png files for the dungeon's quests
  
• localization - localization files for dungeon's name, quests, descriptions, and etc.
  
• loot - optional loot files for dungeon specific loot tables
  
• props - dungeon specific props like obstacles, traps, and doors
  
• scripts - map generator for the dungeon's quests (type & length)

Example of localization files
Here you can change the description of "Explore" and "Battle" type quests. The dungeon's name is also found within this file. The descriptions are based on that of Ruins dungeon.




Example of audio files
Here you can assign audio (GUID override) to different elements of the dungeon like ambience, battle music, and door creaking for an example. Importing custom audio is done through FMOD studio and .bank files.



The dungeon template as it is shouldn't cause any compatibility issues or crashes since it doesn't in any way modify the base game's files - it only adds on top. Possible issues may occur as a result of modifying the template into its own dungeon like Weald or Ruins for an example.
