1.9.7 More Unique Companies

Description
Overview:
Updated for 1.9.7
Information regarding Companies:
Embark on a journey where the tapestry of corporate intrigue unfolds, granting most nations access to a diverse selection of companies from the outset.

There are currently 600+ unique companies available to which the grand majority of countries have access to at the start of the game. Some are locked behind conditions like the Meiji Restoration.

Each company has specific building types based on historical data. Their prosperity bonus is based on a score we calculated for balancing purposes from this information, and you can see how it's done in this spreadsheet. [docs.google.com]

Certain nations might not initially feature access to distinctive companies due to a lack of comprehensive information about these entities. If you wish for specific companies to be incorporated into the mod, kindly express your desires by submitting them here: make a wish! [docs.google.com]. Your input will contribute to enriching the game experience for every Nation!

Information regarding Banks:
Banks have been crucial for economic growth and stability in the Real World. Currently Banks are underrepresented in Victoria 3. This is why we decided to make Banks more important. Historically, institutions like the 19th-century European banks have driven industrial expansion and trade. Reflecting this, we decided that each country in game can only maintain one bank at a time, making it a central pillar of the nation's financial system and economic policy.

A game rule has been added to disable banks for the player and AI. Banks are enabled by default.

Journal Entry Companies:
Some companies stand out from the rest for various reasons. They may have been formed through major mergers, established by states in response to global events, or expanded rapidly due to unique domestic economic conditions. These distinctive companies now feature their own formation and upgrade Journal Entries! You can see which companies have Journal Entries associated with them here.

Translation and Compatibility:
The mod only supports English and German. If anybody wishes to do translations, they will be listed here:

We have added mod compatibility with:

Useful information:
Vanilla and DLC companies might have been modified by this mod, but the DLC companies are only visible/usable if the corresponding DLC is owned.

If you want to know about already implemented companies, you can check it out here [docs.google.com]

> check out the link inside the useful information on the bottom of the mod page, there we have a list of all the prestige goods

Ok, true, however, this list requires someone to be familiar with all possible vanilla prestige goods to make certain judgements. I didn't even realise until recently this added prestige goods...

It would be amazing to have a pinned discussion post to identify just the NEW prestige goods added by the mod.

i.e.
- Ammunition (2 New):
-> Mauser
-> Remington
- Small Arms (0 New)
- Wine (1 New):
-> Mediterranean Wine

The goal is so that someone can quickly get a handle on whether they have multiple mods competing for the 3 prestige good slots per good or not.

Is this compatible with Morgenröte?

@flardamar Actually yes you're right I believe it's the Ultra Historical Politics mod that does this, my bad.

@force200 Historically, there were multiple attempts to merge the railway systems of the different German states, but they always fell through due to the monarchs not willing to give up their state held railways. After Germany was forced into a republic after WW1, all the monarchs lost their powers and the merger finally went through in the early 1920s.

TLDR: Monarchies stopped the merger from happening.

Why does the Deutsche Reichsbahn JE require not having Monarchy?

@radwilly1 do you have any other sources of private construction allocation, or do you use another mod that increases changes laws? It shouldn't get to 100%, 75%+10/15% depending on the bank is not 100%
radwilly1 Aug 3 @ 12:14pm
@flardamar I'm having an issue with government construction while having a bank. It adds 10% private construction allocation, but since I have Laissez-faire I have 90% allocation already, meaning it goes to 100%. This works fine when you have more construction than the investment pool can utilize, but if you start to have insufficient construction for investment pool then all government buildings will stay queued and only private construction will work.

@MasterOfGrey check out the link inside the useful information on the bottom of the mod page, there we have a list of all the prestige goods

Could you add a list of new prestige goods you add with this mod somewhere? With the limit on prestige goods at the moment, it’s valuable information for people to be able to see and know what mods are filling up the limit.

@W4RPER Understood, i would definitely recommend changing it to that name so it makes sense within the game
