greetings
I was wondering: with the changes made to the game, do you have to "fix/modify" every company you made until now?
But the Headquarter location is afterwards chosen by the game depending on which state you have the most buildings within that companies building types in. Its dynamic. If you build more food industries and sugar plantations in Georgia, the Headquarter will change to Georgia.
It would be nice if you could add those suggestions including sources to our "Make a wish" document. That way it is easier for us to add those companies to the mod.
These are good suggestions though.
I'm excited for the next DLC and am trying to think of companies that would work with a colonization charter. More companies that fit that would be awesome (maybe we'll get some new flavored ones with the DLC).
These are good suggestions. I'll try to add them this week.
As for the next update. We will probably do a small bugfix patch on 1.9 release and then a greater flavor focused patch for historical company leaders, company expansions and such some time in the future.
No promises on how long that update will take though.
I've been playing France a lot these last days and I think the country misses one or two companies for really specific things such as oil or iron.
While there are some companies that are similar for iron, I think there needs to be a company that is about making iron AND steel. It could be one of the Lorraine steel companies like the Société anonyme des Hauts-Fourneaux et Fonderies de Pont-à-Mousson , which would reflect the important steel and iron production in Lorraine at that time.
As for oil, it's just a nitpick, but I feel like France needs a company about oil... It could be the Compagnie Française de Pétrole , as it was created during the time frame of the game, even if it was really late (1924).
Anyway, thank you for the mod and I'm really excited to see it alongside the next update for companies. I hope it's gonna be great !

As long as you credit us, you are free to use it.
They expand all of their assigned buildings other then financial districts/manor houses. Just like a normal company does.
Your idea is also our preferred implementation. Banks, in their previous version, were only assigned financial districts. We'd like banks to expand and buy up private financial districts which already own other buildings themselves. But this is currently not possible.
The current implementation of banks is a necessity of 1.8. We will likely change them again depending on what 1.9 brings.
It makes more sense that any type of buildings can be owned by a bank given that they have diverse portfolio across all industries.
