The Eclipse MKII is the updated Version of my Eclipse X CV, which can be found here:

I did incorporate a lot of feedback I got for the old Eclipse X, here is a quick list of improvements:
  • Additional Thruster upgrade slots, e.g. it has now room for 4 XL Front Thruster, to back off faster if necessary.
  • The Railgun is now more to the front, which should no longer cause issues with shots not connecting to close targets.
  • The Main Bridge has better visibility (Larger window, cockpit seat further forward)
  • Supports now 2 Fusion generators
  • Secondary HV-Ramp to allow smaller HVs and SVs that are parked at the front of the Hangar to exit when the main Hangar door at the Back is blocked.
  • Container Controllers are now 640k in size
  • Better lighting in the main Hangar.
  • Shorter path from the ground ramp to the medic bay.
Note the ship is still a comparatively large and slow boat. Especially under the stock layout.

Out of the box it comes with a weapon setup tailored against drones, especially Nullifiers. I still recommend to replace some turrets with heavy lasers first, just because it makes fighting Nullis that much more convenient. Shield is somehat solid from the start (22.8k), but the real power comes once you upgrade the ship.
Like its predecessor the Eclipse MKII can be upgraded to a point where it eats Toveras without any issues.

The Bow is well armored and the ship has a couple decoy-generators. Fighting Nullis on Armor is recommended unless you have already a couple Aux. Cores. Be sure to not get flanked however, besides the armored Bow the rest of the ship is mostly a steel hull and provides only little protection against anti-armor weapons once the shield is down.

The Fusion generator mountings are protected against chaining to the shield Array extenders on explosion. The latter ones will however cause massive damage to the ship on explosion and willl cause a loss of container/ammo controllers. So have an extra keen eye on your shields once you added those.

@Gaming4ever: The game has a hardcoded limit for 21 items on the toolbar, with one item of each item group not counting towards that limit. With 4 Artys, 10 positron and 12 Torps you are over that limit, thats what you see there.

I am trying to max the fixed weapons along with the torpedoes, so 14 turrets, 12 torpedoes, 10 Positron cannons, and four artillery cannons. However, the game can only see 8 positron cannons and 11 torpedoes. The torpedoes are where you had them to be, and so are the cannons; I started from the back and was working my way forward. Is it the order in which I am lacing guns, or can I not have both?

It was one of the best ships i found when starting to play RE and no matter how many other ships i try: Its still the best in all-around-the-galaxy-action.
Room for Miners/Fighters or Tanks, Enough Weapon + Shield-Possibilties, while still being able to land on none-high-g planets to look for POIs, Traders and Autominers.
And all that in a neat shell that looks amazing without being to cramped inside.
May be a large and slow boat... But it carries you all around the galaxy.

To add, one of the biggest reasons its my favorite is because you can bring it in decently early and add the upgrades in as I can which you have made extremely easy to do. I wish every design/designer did this. Thank you for the extra effort. I hate downgrading ships in creative to try and get them in earlier then what the BP allows.

Ever since you released the original this has been my favorite ship design. Every game I try to bring this in. Even if it is not the 'best' ship, to me it is. Love it and all your designs.

I gravitated to this ship for two reasons: you and I like the same type of weapon load-outs and the upgradability. After 1K+ hours with this ship, which has ten aux cores, I destroyed my first Tovera. I love it; it is, without a doubt, one of my favorite ships to date.
