Taipan GTs

Description

Taipan GTs is a civilian racing version of an 8-generation aerospace multirole fighter-interceptor[www.artstation.com] << Welcome to my artstation page! Like and follow to see more!

It is designed according to the Seraphim aerodynamic scheme with a centrally located cockpit, which gives the ship maximum maneuverability both in the atmosphere and in vacuum, and, together with the anti-G suit and medications, allows for maximum over G acting on the pilot during maneuvers and accelerations.

Controls:

Main flight modes. Hotkeys 1 (HVR), 2 (VTL), 3 (FFT):
1 - Hover mode (HVR) Activated by hotkey 1

This mode is enabled by default when spawning. The Taipan will maintain a distance from the ground (or water), trying to clear the terrain. You can adjust the hover height from 0 to 22 meters using the up and down arrow keys. The speed limiter is set to minimum by default and can be changed using the buttons on the panel to your left. For your safety, the maximum allowable speed in hover mode is limited to 30% of the capacity
  • W / S - forward / reverse
  • A / D - yaw
  • left / right arrows - strafe
  • up / down arrows - ascend / descend
2 - VTOL mode (VTL) Activated by hotkey 2
This mode transitions the ship into horizontal flight, locking the roll and pitch axes. In this mode, the speed limiter can be set to maximum, but keep in mind that not only the heading but also the vertical speed changes, so be careful when descending with the speed limiter set to maximum. Controls are similar to hover mode

3 - Free flight mode (FFT) Activated by hotkey 3

This mode unlocks all control axis. The Taipan will constantly maintain its position in space, and the controls in Free Flight Mode is similar to that of an airplane:
  • W / S - pitch up / pitch down
  • A / D - roll left / roll right
  • left / right arrows - yaw left / yaw right
  • up / down arrows - forward / reverse
Enabling any of these three modes will automatically disable the other two. In addition to the maximum speed limit, you can also set a comfortable level of maneuverability for yourself. The increase and decrease buttons are located on the panel to the left of the seat

Auxiliary modes. Hotkeys 4 (CRS), 5 (MOS), 6 (DCP):
4 - Cruise mode (CRS) Activated by the hotkey 4

It maintains the maximum allowed speed, which can be adjusted with the speed limiter
Hint: In cruise mode, you will always move forward, but the flight speed can be adjusted with the speed limiter using the hot keys 7 and 8, or the buttons on the left of the seat. If you're worried that you won't have time to press 4 to disable the cruise control and stop if an obstacle arises, use the anti-collision system button on the left panel and the system will do it for you. To resume movement, turn in a safe direction and you can re-engage cruise mode using the 4

5 – Mouse control mode (MOS) Activated by the hotkey 5

Attention! As in the free flight mode (FFT) and when the mouse control is on (MOS), the buttons responsible for pitch and yaw are released, and control is switched to the following buttons:
  • W / S - move forward / backward
  • A / D - roll left / right
  • left / right arrows - horizontal strafe
  • up / down arrows - vertical strafe
This combination (modes (FFT) and (MOS) enabled) maximizes the potential of the Taipan and is ideal for both racing (GTs version) and aerial combat (armed version)

6 - Decoupled mode (DCP) Also known as ZeroG or true space. Activated by the hotkey 6

When this mode is activated, the Taipan remembers the direction of movement and tries to maintain the current speed. You can freely rotate using the buttons or gimbal control, but you will continue moving in the same direction as when you switched to this mode. You can change the direction in mode 6 using forward / backward thrust and left / right / up / down strafe. To exit decoupled mode, press hotkey 6 again

Modes 4, 5, 6 can be turned on and off independently of each other and regardless of which 1, 2, 3 mode is selected. For example, you can be in mode 3 and turn on cruise mode (4) and mouse control (5), and if you switch to VTOL mode (2), modes 4 and 5 will remain on. That is, 4, 5, 6 are toggle buttons

HOTAS seat control settings. Additional hotkeys 7, 8, 9, 10,11,12,14:
7 - increases speed limiter
8 - decreases speed limiter
9 - decreases control sensitivity
10 - increases control sensitivity
11 - assigned to the TAB button, switches the Taipan to a more comfortable third-person control mode, raising the camera and smoothing the control
12 - boost button, provides a 30% increase in maximum speed or an impulse if the Taipan is stationary, working only in the forward direction. When continuously held, the booster discharges in 50 seconds and requires 25 seconds to fully recharge
14 - hotkey for firing flares

Recommendations for assigning additional hotkeys:
  • 7 - 7
  • 8 - 8
  • 9 - 9
  • 10 - 0
  • 11 - TAB
  • 12 - LShift
  • 14 - MMB
Not mandatory, but for maximum control, it is also recommended to reassign the following control buttons:
  • Up arrow button - space
  • Down arrow button – ctrl
  • Left arrow button – q
  • Right arrow button – e
  • Trigger – LMB
This will give you full control with your left hand on the keyboard and the most efficient use of the mouse. If your mouse has additional buttons, you can assign controls to them as well. The interaction buttons q and e can be moved to r and t. The inventory selection button can be replaced from LMB to CapsLock or any other key.

you will need glitches to reach rps that high though. it's what the
flywheel-gearbox loops on either side of the cockpit is for.
you also need to limit the water flow to the jets with variable valves, or it will use up all the water instantly.
Dompan Sep 2 @ 2:46pm
Codename_Jaguar, it worksby spinning the jets so fast that they produce thrust without using any water. well, it's technically still using water, just so little that stormworks doesn't bother counting it.

Hey man, genuinely how does this fluid jet system work because I'm trying something similar for one of my spacecraft builds but I just cannot find anything online as to how it actually produces thrust

how do i make the VTOL turn on i was pressing 2 like the game said

@Vya3x The main version will probably take another year at least. There is a lot of LUA that has to be made by Den's friend who is at college if I remember and it takes a while to program so much. There are also issues with the game updates causing things to function wrong or not at all. So with the in game issues and real life, it takes a while.

When do you think the main version of the taipan will release Den?

Welcome back Den!

wilso85, you can upload your modules, but not the entire Taipan
GamePulseYT Oct 3, 2024 @ 10:26am
I would absolutely love to make custom modules and I would give you credit ofc.

@Den Shamanoff, can I make custom module for this and repuload this?
