The Fafnir Knight (Class Mod)

Hello. I love Darkest Dungeon and the Etrian Odyssey games, so I decided to make a class mod of the Fafnir Knight from Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight. His appearance, playstyle and skills in this mod have been modified to fit the theme and balancing of Darkest Dungeon. This character is not meant to make the game easier, and he should be used strategically alongside the other DD heroes.

This is my first attempt at making a DD mod, so if you encounter any bugs (and you're certain they're being caused by my mod), please let me know on this page. Feel free to translate this mod, and with permission I will add any translations made. DLC is not required to use this mod, and when using DLC the respective trinket/s will be automatically enabled.

The Fafnir Knight is a front row damage/support hero who can transform to deal huge damage at the cost of his stress.

Both Forms:


Force Boost
OOOO - Self
Transform into Fafnir mode.
Has a battle limit of 1 – When battle is over, revert to human form
Heals HP on use, inflicts 10 Stress on use and 20 stress at the start of every round while transformed
While transformed gain PROT and Bleed Resist, but lose Virtue Chance and Speed

Human Form:


Flame Sabre
XXOO - OOXX
Basic attack, deals moderate damage and marks target.


Vital Shut
XOOO - OOOO
Very low damage, high accuracy, high crit chance, debuffs enemy dodge and speed.


Absorb
OOOO - Self/Ally
Stress heal for self and one ally, or just self for a greater effect. Buffs stress resistance and accuracy on self.

Fafnir Form:


Flame Wave
XOOO - O~O~OX
Moderate damage, deals additional damage to marked enemies. Applies mark to self.


Meteor Smash
XXOO - OOXX
Huge damage, low crit chance, armor piercing, high chance to stun and knockback. Applies stun to self. Deals more damage when used consecutively.


Accelerate
OOOO - Self
Has a per battle limit of 1.
Gain turn actions for the current round, from 1 at level 1 to 3 at level 4. Become immune to mark and stun on the round it's used. Act last for the round it's used and a number of rounds afterwards.

Camping Skills:


Expert Mapping
Time Cost: 2
Decrease party surprised chance, increase monsters surprised chance and scouting chance.


Cooking Technique
Time Cost: 3
Slightly heal and destress the entire party


Regenerate
Time Cost: 3
Heal HP and remove mortality debuffs on self. If afflicted, destress self.


Limit Break
Time Cost: 4
Gain damage and reduce stress gained in Fafnir mode, but increase damage taken and stress gained in Human mode. Slightly stress all companions.


Common: Luck Necklace
Uncommon: Spiked Gauntlet
Rare: Lifeforce Vial
Very Rare: Essence of Strength
Crimson Court: Amenohabagiri, The Grail of Kings
Color of Madness: Glowing Tincture
