Planet zoo 'Germany'

Description
Welcome to Planet zoo Germany.

After you have parked your car in one of our 502 parking places (of witch are 222 in our modern three story parking garage), buy a ticket at one of the ticket counters and enter Planet zoo Germany.

I would strongly suggest to get a nice cup of coffee in the restaurant at the entrance square and enjoy it while you hear our lions roar in front of you.
You might want tot take a quick look at our souvenir shop, you’ll find in the same building as the restaurant, but of course you can also do this on your way out.

After your morning coffee, (I assume you arrived at morning because we have a lot of zoo to discover today), I would advice to get an audio guide at the info counter.
The info counter is on the far end of the entrance square and recognizable by the big ‘I’
If you need a wheelchair , a buggy for a kid or want to use a locker, you find them here aswel.

Now that’s all settled. let start our zoo experience at Planet zoo Germany!!
The zoo is easy navigable by following the route signs in the zoo. Also on difficult crossings you will find red paws on the path that give you extra guidance for the right direction.

Here is what the audio guide will tell you if you follow the route:

Introduction

‘Planet zoo Germany’ is a German zoo, founded by the youngest grand child of John Planet: Jamie Parc. He found this zoo in the 60’s inspired by his famous grand father.

Like Planet zoo ‘The Netherlands’, the famous zoo build by his grandfather, this zoo has big enclosures to ensure natural behavior and mostly natural enclosure boarders. Jamie was an photograph enthousiast so, almost every habitat has at least some possibilities to see the animals without glass.

The oldest part of the zoo is in the middle part of the zoo. This is the part that Jamie build in the ’70’s through ’90’s . It consist of mainly temperate climate animals from Europe and North-America.

The main attraction back in those days were the Californian see lion habitat and the Japan area. The last is inspired by the Japan display from ‘planet zoo the Netherlands’ because Jamie always like this the most when his grandfather took him to the zoo.
The zoo always tended to have a collection mostly with animals his granddad’s zoo never had the possibility to hold.

In the 90’s more exotic animals made way to the still small zoo, so it expanded rapidly. This was the time elephant, the deserts house, chimpansees and lions were added.

In the last 15 years bigger projects were added, like the famous Australia pavilion, an architectural highlight of the zoo.
The huge jungle dome. That used to be the biggest in the world when build in 2014 with 14400 m2. It didn’t hold that position long though after wildlands in Emmen (the Netherlands) build ‘rimbula’ a 18000m2 big jungle building in 2016.
The last project that was added was the big safari plain with restaurant.

Technical notes:

- I did use some blueprints for this zoo, but only for small things like restaurant interiors and climbing stuctures they were all heavily modified but nevertheless, many thanks to the awesome creators of these blueprints. you know who you are.
- No mods where used and no custom screens either.
- The zoo should be operational in sandbox mode, water and escape should be fine although I didn't test it. Power and animal needs should be turned off
- I saved thew zoo file with no guest in the zoo, it runs fine with guest on GEFORCE NOW but my computer will freeze with guest in the zoo.

Fun fact: This zoo was mostly build on a steam deck!

Last but not least: As a creator I would like to thank, Leaf, Cesar creates, LideR and deladysigner for great inspiration.
