I feel like that, if it’s not changed to one or the other- (Either giving both Skirmish and Campaign lords the ability to fire magic missiles, if it works, or removing the ability from both instead of having them be separate.) -then it should at least be said somewhere here in the description.
So to be even more clear - when the stat-block shows my Warlock Engineer drop down severely by 10-30 points in many stats when equipping a jezzail bodyguard, that isn't entirely true?
That is the stat block of retinue troops being the bodyguard, but the Warlock Engineer is still at the head of that unit blob with their actual original stats?
It seems like you are correct, the lord itself remains there with their stats. Just an example - my Master Engineer lord had the Raker ammunition (shotgun + damage decreased range) which applies suppressed as per their skill line.
Getting the sniper retinue (one of the options) not only seemed to increase his range to the range the snipers had (like 400 in the card), but the shots seems to hit really hard and they also applied the Suppressed conditon.
Since Snipers apply the Shieldbreaker condition on their own, when hovering over the enemy, it had both Suppressed and Shieldbraker applied to them.
This makes in my opinion ranged lords very very deadly.
Hope that helps!
I think of it as unit , So an additional bonus was added"
So for example - when an enemy gets into melee with a ratling-gun team 'mount' Ikit Claw, Ikit Claw is actually there and has his stats alongside the retinue?
Ikit will be making attacks and taking hits with his melee attack/defense stats, AND there's a pack of units that are attached?
I will look forward to your next projects
no plan . I think the Packmaster is more like a summoner , Not like someone who would have guard
