Alloy Value

Description
Modifies the material values of alloys to make them more reasonable across the board. This mod is a simpler version of my other "Real Alloys" mod that just changes the value of alloys instead of messing with the recipes.

In vanilla DF, many of the alloys weren't really worth the effort to make them. This mod changes the value of those alloys so they are lucrative trade goods now. If you plan on smelting singular objects with a very high value, such as one really cool statue, using pure gold or platinum will still be better. However, alloys are best for boosting the overall value across multiple bars, making them useful for crafting valuable items to trade with, or creating many medium-value furniture items.

Should be compatible with every other mod, unless the other mod also changes the material value of these alloys. In that case, let my mod overwrite it and you'll have the numbers shown here.

Electrum and billon can still be smelted with ores to increase their value, so they have less significant changes.

Name | Mod value | (Vanilla value) | Total value increase from making alloy

Billon: unchanged (smelt with ores to create value)
Black bronze: 16 (vanilla: 11), +5
Electrum: 22 (vanilla: 20) +2 (smelt with ores to increase value)
Rose gold: 28 (vanilla: 23) +5
Sterling silver: 10 (vanilla: 8) +2
Nickel silver: 5 (vanilla: 3) +3
Lay pewter: 5 (vanilla: 3) +3
Trifle pewter: 6 (vanilla: 4) +4
Fine pewter: 7 (vanilla: 5) +5
