CS Neo Maplist[pastebin.com]

A collection of Counter-Strike Neo maps re-compiled for CS:GO. (GldSrc -> Source)

Counter-Strike Neo was a Japanese arcade adaptation of Counter-Strike only available in Japan.
Most weapon model were ported from CS Source with some animations from Condition Zero Deleted Scenes.
The game featured unique maps and player models, and had an online service that ran from 2005 to 2010.

"Tetsuo Tsuchiya had ... a trip to Valve Software’s headquarters, where he secured the Japanese license for Counter-Strike."
(LEDZone, Pt. 2: Namco woos Valve)

"By early 2003, Tetsuo Tsuchiya had solved two key challenges. He had successfully persuaded Namco's top corporate brass to fund his LAN café project, and then he secured the Japanese CS license from Namco"
(LEDZone, Pt. 3: Attracting the Japanese gamer)

"Tetsuo Tsuchiya was trying to sell the Counter-Strike game to Japanese gamers through his LAN cafe, LEDZone. He faced challenges such as the preference for simple interfaces like joysticks, a lack of precedent for his type of cafe in Japan, and a small user base of only 2,000 people in Japan. He redesigned the cafe to appeal to Japanese gamers and ensure fair competition, curbed bad manners and cheating, and optimized the game's graphics and interface for the cafe. He also set low initial prices and trained staff to teach and assist customers. Tsuchiya also had to advertise and market the cafe through various channels."
(LEDZone, Pt. 3: Attracting the Japanese gamer)

Counter-Strike had Western-style graphics and themes that were not appealing to Japanese gamers, so Namco made aesthetic changes to the game. The anti-terrorism theme was also changed to a conflict between two factions for Japanese players. The controls were also adjusted for the small PC gaming market in Japan.
(GDC: The Localization of Counter-Strike in Japan)

This version of Counter-Strike was in many ways ahead of its time. It ran on Linux 32-bit (Debian based) with purpose-made keyboards.
According to game files, such as Neo's "czero/manual.htm" and "cstrike/readme.txt" it seems that CS Neo is based on a mix of Counter-Strike Condition Zero and Counter-Strike 1.5, June 12th 2002.

"There’s also some new code that associates each player’s configuration preferences with his profile, so that a player’s settings travel with him no matter which PC or which LEDZone location he’s using."
(LEDZone, Pt. 3: Attracting the Japanese gamer)
