Split Genepack

Description
Allows you to split Genepacks.

I know that the packs are designed to give you some harder gameplay choices sometimes. Do you add the geneset with a ugly gene to make yourself immortal, or don't you? Or do you stick it in a slave and then start extracting genes and make the whole process tedious?

Instead I spent far too long making this mod and making it work. You can select any genepack with 2 or more genes and mark it to be split. A pawn will do some work, the old pack will be destroyed and new single packs containing the genes of the old pack will be scattered about the ground.

It should be compatible with mods that add genes as long as they're done in the usual way.

I also spent some time making it so you could split the packs added from Alpha Genes. Although you lose the different art on the split packs.

It is safe to add to an existing save.
It is Not safe to remove if you have any of the smaller genepacks in your game that this mod creates.

I have done some testing and everything seems to work. You're able to load the new single genepacks into the genebanks and create a xenogerm. It is still quite new so a save backup would not go amiss if you want to use this mod.

Please let me know if there are any problems.

Minor update: Added art for the single packs, copied and modified from Biotech assets.

Minor incompatibilities:
Any stacking mod that will allow you to stack things that are normally only single stack. This can cause the creation of the new mini-packs to stack and all end up in a single pile with the same gene. You'll need to turn this option off per stacking mod for now.

FAQs:
Q: Why when I split a genepack do I get a stack of the same single gene?

A: You have a stacking mod. You need to add GenepackSingle to the 'do not stack' list. See your stacking mod's help section.

Q: Why not just use the base genepack item?

A: I tried doing that originally, but there is a fairly hard coded function in the regular genepack that will automatically fill it with genes on creation. I tried various ways to remove those genes after creation so I wouldn't have to make a new item, but none were 100% reliable. This was the only way I could find that worked all the time. It wasn't ideal but it did what I wanted.

I also agree with Xeohul's idea! Only one gene can be selected, which is reasonable. It is not necessary to completely change the entire mod, but rather to make it an option for players to choose from.

Would love to see a balance option that if you split the gene packs you can only choose one of them and the other will be destroyed. In my opinion, this fits right with the vanilla premise "you can, but it will cost".

add me to those who think lifters shouldn't be able to split genepacks. seems like it should be an intellectual task, not a hauling task.

Any mods that will reduce or remove some genes appearing in gene packs, cause I'm sick of gene packs with just hair and skin color, or tails and ears. When I look for gene packs I usually look for something useful. Yeah, sometimes I'm ok with some cosmetic stuff. But I see this cosmetic stuff as often as I see genes that makes difference.

@OMGSplat
So brilliant and simple, it SHOULD have been in base game.

Same as @usagicore but glitched I suppose as it contains no genes ?

The perfect mod for people that want deathless without having to have pig ears as well.

Hi!
Great work with this mod! Something like this should be in vanilla tbh...
Do you think you could "balance" it a bit, e.g. needing a high intellectual skill and a gene assembler for the splitting operation (as an option, not required)?
