Grouped Resources

Description
Grouped Resources provides pre-MergeDown style grouping headers to the pinned/new resources window. Resources will be shown with collapsing group headers, ordered by group name, then resource name.

This allows more resources to be pinned in a more compact area, and will let you find the resources you need quicker. Additionally, resources are given a semi-transparent background, to assist with text legibility.

Category collapse/expand is now tracked across asteroids and saved/reloaded in the save file.

*Configuration Settings*
Category headers can be turned on/off (leaving grouped-by-category sorting of pinned items, coloring)
Colors and alpha blending can be changed for preferred visibility.

Should this mod work with mods that add new elements to the game? I wanted to add this to my game on Baator (which re-adds a bunch of unused elements like electrum, syngas, helium and phosphate nodules) but the game crashes on loading the save.

TBH the Baator mod by itself seems to have an issue with elements, it specific resource always show up as new on load.

I have been using this mod since it was released, and it's great. Would it be possible to add sections for Critter Inventory compatibility? Right now they just all show up at the end of the list.

What this mod needs is an option to have every resource pinned by default
so we can have a real semblance of the old resource monitor back.

Is it possible to also add an option to disable the diagnostics panel above it?

@ash yes across different saves. There is another addon (abandoned) by ony, called favorite resources that did this.it was very useful to help be monitor resources early in game.

@Ruki: Hey, I'm not sure what you mean here. Do you mean across different saves? The pinned resources are saved in individual save files, not as a global setting, and I don't control where that data goes, it's built into ONI.

Otherwise, the game saves pinned resources already, and I save the collapsed state of categories, is that not working for you?
