Description
The R-96 missile
This missile is my latest development. A set of gimballed seeker missiles with full PHS integration, capable of locking onto and killing a target beyond visual range.

Both radar-guided and laser-guided configurations are possible.

The seeker is a HOBS seeker, capable of tracking at very high off-boresight angles. This seeker has an off-bore capability of slightly over 90 degrees.

The seeker may be slaved to an aircraft's onboard radar or other sensor. The AS-5's Neosys FCR1 radar is an example of this.

PHS advisory
The missile should be used with PHS-compatible aircraft if correct operation is desired. You can achieve this compatibility by:
Feeding an "uncage" signal on boolean channel 12 to uncage the seeker.
Feeding optional azimuth and elevation data in turns to the missile on channels 11 and 12.
Feeding a "launch authorization" signal to the missile on channel 11. (not required for this missile, LA is automatically given upon lock if the missile is uncaged)
Receiving the launch authorization signals on channels 11/12 and displaying it on your cockpit systems or integrating into arming mechanism. You are now done.

Daimonfire's smartracks may not yet play well with the new features. Please take care.
