No, both this mod and "battle lod remover" affect battle map
Battle lod remover goal is to avoid the game from rendering really ugly lod models at some distance (this will increase visual quality while having a really low cost on performances), while this mod is increasing all lod values in battles to the maximum. So this mod could have a really big impact on performances.

A 3080 should be more than good enough and if it isn't then i would wager one need more RAM or a better CPU and not a better GPU. I run this @4k with several texture enhancing mods while using an RTX 4070 SUPER and i barely notice any fps drops unless the battle is colossal in scale against ratmen that doesn't rly exist.
