Counter-Strike: Source weapons on the TFA Base
This was something that I wanted to make for awhile as I haven't seen many mods that try to recreate the Counter-Strike weapons in a vanilla-ish feel.

Features Include:
  • All 24 guns present in Counter-Strike: Source
  • Recreated viewmodel positions to mimic the original game
  • Stats ripped from the CTX files, so firerate is as accurate as you can get it
  • Original game effects such as the classic dirty scope and X muzzle flash for certain weapons
  • CS-like weapon accuracy, so running and jumping will result in reduced accuracy
  • Classic/Vanilla-like, with many base features disabled
  • c_arm/c_hand/c_model support
  • Toaster friendly(?)

Additional Notes:
  • Certain weapons have silencers, which can be activated with Use Key + Primary Fire
  • Certain weapons have selective fire, which can be activated with Use Key + Reload Key
  • Spread & accuracy is not 100%, but has been designed to make continuous firing not so impractical
  • This weapon pack requires that the TFA Base be installed
Credits:
  • TFA Base team, for developing the base
  • Valve, for the assets

GMod by default has some css content packed into it (mostly sounds and compressed textures), so you shouldn't need it to use this mod. It's recommended though because otherwise your guns will look very blurry.

does it not required CSS?

Gonna work on fixing up this pack, so expect an update soon-ish.

back in the day there were plenty of simple CSS weapons pack. idk if they disappeared or we just can't find them because the workshop search system is crap

Quite the opposite, it was pretty tidy and easy to work with. Combined with TFA's Github documentation on the SWEP parameters, I was able to create what I wanted pretty easily and hassle-free :steamhappy:

Thank you 😎👍

Oh sure, you're free to use the code. I don't really care too much since this pack is horribly out-of-date, so the code might be pretty messy from what I can remember.

@Aether

I couldn't leave a comment on your profile so I'm leaving it here. I recently released my custom personal weapons pack that I always use when I play. The base code of the pack is based off this addon, albeit heavily modified for each of my individual weapons, as they all function vastly differently compared to this release.

I've credited and linked your name in the credits accordingly, but I still wanted to let you know in case you weren't ok with me basing the code off your addon. Please let me know if that's the case.
