Description
DEPRECATED?
As of 9/10/23 I'm no longer updating this mod in favor of the far better Universal Enemy Compatibility Patch built off H4ilst0rm's Enemy List Replacer.

What Is This?
The Enemy Compatibility Patches (ECP) are an effort to get a bunch of modded enemies to play nice. Two of the main issues you'll run into with large groups of enemy mods are SupportedFollower lists not including other modded enemies, and differing spawn weight philosophies resulting in some mods being far too common and others barely showing up at all.

How?
The ECPs are primarily just fixing those issues by balancing out spawn weight lists across multiple mods and cross-referencing Supported Followers lists between mods where compatibility would be appropriate (so giving Omega Berserkers muton followers, but not giving any new followers to the themed Frost Legion pods, as an example).

These mods do go a little bit further than that, with minor force level adjustments, adding enemies to target lists for various buffs, and the like. However, 99% of the changes are just making everyone play nice together. All of the ECPs are using ABA as a baseline for their unit weights. All of them include fully fleshed out Supported Follower Lists across all the mods, but those will only come into play if you have the original mod / the ECP module that puts those enemies into the encounter lists.

Requirements
The requirements for this mod are Hard requirements, and the game will crash without them.
However, you can run this mod if you disable the mods you aren't running, by either of the below methods;
  1. Install Choose Your Aliens and add lines to remove every alien from the mods you don't run.
  2. Delete or Comment Out the entire EncounterLists.ini for any mod you aren't using.
In the case of mods with multiple sources (Alien Elite Pack vs individual mods and Pathfinders vs Standalones) either source is perfectly acceptable.

WIP Status
These mods are still a WIP as I fully playtest them in my own campaign. Any comments about spawn weights seeming out of proportion are valuable feedback, and I'd love to hear them.

So this ECP is for?
This ECP Module focuses on Muton units and includes;
  • A Harder War: Advanced Aliens
  • Berserker Omegas
  • Muton Destroyers
  • Muton Enemy Pack
  • Muton Harriers
  • Muton Hunters.
It also changes various Muton's starting Force Levels as many of them were introduced at exactly FL13, and several followers appeared before normal Mutons did at Force Level 10. In addition, I've increased the Muton Brigade Sitrep (From Harder War) to FL 12. Previously it had all Mutons of all Force Levels available at FL10. I've changed it to take into account Force Level progression, albeit at a slightly accelerated rate. This results in limited Muton variety at FL10 though, so I've pushed it back to FL12 to fix the issue.

@Dan Whoops, that is straight up in the wrong mod and should've been in Overhauls. My bad. The way it currently is, yes, it's a required mod and needs to be either commented out or have Frost Legion installed otherwise it could potentially crash on the Muton Brigade SITREP.

As a heads up, this mod is going to be deprecated sometime in the next month as I'm currently working on a successor to the ECPs that bypasses this exact sort of compatibility issue thanks to some code from h4ilst0rm.

There is a folder and ini file for frost legion. Is it a required mod ?

So, to be clear, do you need all of these mods to run this, or can you download only select mods and still work with this patch?

Just finished a campaign with about 685 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up.

Will this work with the Alien Elite Pack (which includes Muton Elites) in place of the Muton Elite standalone?
