Description
Welcome to Prospero, capital, Prospero.

This is a large sized, island map, made from a heightmap. This map is for a more moderate experience and should not be the most difficult to find vehicles or gear compared to something like Russia, but also a little harder than Washington. Best played on hard difficulty.

This map features the main island and multiple other smaller ones, along with multiple ships, and a train. There is a lore, but is not obtainable within the map, but can be found below (for those interested). One of the ships, SS Explorer, is clear of zombies and loot spawns and is meant to be a safezone for players. If not on multiplayer, it's best to be ignored as it provides nothing to the experience.
Locations include: Airbase, large city, minor city, highway, national park, no backrooms, secret lab (deadzone, full suit required!), a secret bunker(s) and more!

Special stuff:
Got rid of the annoying pink rocks by just coloring them rock colors for those chart people, along with a slightly custom GPS. I also made some neat loading screens and preview stuff. Quite a bit of out-of-bounds goodies including a staff room as-well for servers that need it, it's called "Staff". There is alot of loot spawns in St. Porton, but only in the detailed buildings for performance reasons. This map features no grass to keep PvP even and lag down.

Dear Survivor,

Allow me to introduce you to this twisted world we live in.
Everyone loves a good backstory, the calm before the storm, or in this case, the storm before the storm.

The Federation, aka Prosperian Federation, was a small country based on the island of Prospero, capital, Prospero, that contained massive quantities of oil and claimed much of the remaining oil on the planet. Because of this, they were one of the richest countries on the planet.
Although rich, there were many internal issues, such as no regulations on scientific research and almost no police forces, instead of relying on a highly funded military to do the dirty work, and they did. Many of the different countries around the world would provide support to the civilians of the Federation, encouraging revolution in the form of The Insurgency. This was an attempt for foreigners to gain control of the Federations oil claim, but its control on the global oil supply allowed the Federation leverage over the other superpowers, forcing them into near submission. This created a tense situation, superpowers of the world wanting oil, the majority oil provider being a military state, and its civilians being oppressed, it was a bad situation economically and humanitarianly.
The Federation feared the influence of the other world superpowers, although they controlled the life-giving oil, anything could tip the scales. The Federation contracted two laboratories, Aperture, and Scorpion-7. Aperture was well known for its technological innovation, such as micro-small-tiny-micro chips and weaponized super death lasers. Scorpion-7 on the other hand was a lab focused primarily on biological weapons. Scorpion-7 was a prime scientific team for the other superpowers, but they pledged their service to the highest bidder and would do anything for profit. Aperture was more reserved, going to the highest bidder but knowing the boundaries between right and wrong, they pushed the bounds of technology, not the bounds of international law.
The Federation contracted the two laboratories to develop a new tool, the Federation careful not to call it a weapon like it truly was. The idea was to create a "tool" that could be used to force the civilian populous into submission, and even the entire world if necessary. Another dictatorship with a hard-on for power, yeah, it only gets worse.
Scorpion-7 would be in charge of actually creating the supposed “tool,” and Aperture would be in charge of creating a way of distribution, ensuring it subtle as to not alert the world of the coming storm. Aperture was also in charge of containing the secret by preventing rumors from spreading via the media or word of mouth at all costs.
The Federation promised a seat on the new world's stage to each of the laboratories along with a fourth of the entire country's GDP to each lab as payment annually until activation. Quite a big cut from the richest country in the world, I knew it was to good to be true.
Scorpion-7 quickly discovered Federation oil could be laced with a new chemical that when it is refined into a vehicle fuel, the exhaust when burnt could release a chemical that infiltrates the brain that can be activated as a sleeper agent when the proper radio call was made, all while going relatively unnoticed.
The military of the Federation along with Aperture labs began constructing a radio array system that could serve as both a jammer of inside and outside communications, along with an activation mechanism for the sleeper agent.
Whilst assembling the last tower, an unknown group managed to destroy it, stopping the progression of the project. We assumed it was The Insurgency. If the last tower would have been finished, the project would have been activated and the world would suffer the consequences. Aperture was in charge of security so was blamed for a failure to maintain the secrecy of the project and was cut from the project and was ordered to leave the country. As you could assume, Aperture was not happy about this, but they knew what had to be done.
Unknown to the Federation or Scorpion-7, Aperture had arranged the destruction of the tower after realizing the stakes of the project and what it would cause. Aperture swiftly began funding The Insurgency themselves and providing them with the tools and information to destroy the Federation and stop Scorpion-7 and their mind control fiasco.
In a desperate attempt to stop supply lines to Scorpion-7s' , Aperture sank a submarine through unknown means and was beginning to recover the vessel. Scorpion-7, fearful of Aperture successfully obtaining parts of the submarine's cargo, did something drastic.

The agent was activated. The signal was broadcasted.

It goes wrong. But not at first.
People begin to suffer headaches throughout the Federation. They see flashes of light, visions of red eyes at night, numbers. Lots of numbers.
The military along with the Federation leaders "fail" to receive the right dosage of the antidote and quickly turn as they had received the highest dose during production. They all began to turn. First, it happened in the factories, where the agent was mixed with the oil, then the cities where fuel was burned, and slowly it made its way, groundwater, air, person to person. Everyone would find a dose.
Across the rest of the world, Scorpion-7 suffers "breaches" in their containment or their laboratories, the agent spreads across the globe. Aperture is powerless, but they try what they can, to no avail.

The apocalypse we know today begins to take form.
We call them the Turned.

This map is pretty fun. Although small with alot of zombie spawns in areas that dont make sense. But is pretty good to play if you get the Train

I have found the issue, thank you for your comment! It was a pretty small hole at the military base tunnel exit, so you might have a missing mod that made it seem larger? But I believe this is what you were referring too. This is now fixed. If its not, please send a update and a more specific location. Thank you!

i personally think a door would be cool as it could add a little more to the game. like you have to go to the scorpion 7 ship, to get a keycard, and then go to the lab to enter. In my opinion, the rock is easy to destroy as when i spawned, i went to the airbase, and got a nykrorev, as well as a timberwolf. are most spawns supposed to be common? i found Tons of hecates and mags.

I think I will add a sign, thank you for your replies. Having a secret explodable wall isn't a popular thing to do in a map, so I can see the cause of confusion. So I'll add some sort of indicator, unless I add a door instead, we'll see. Either way, thanks for your replies!

Thanks so much for replying, i needed this... i didn't see if it was breakable. could you add that as like a sign or add something to the description so other could know? Its fine if you don't want to or are gonna change to the door. i just think it would help other people to get inside if they ever get confused.

I know exactly what you're talking about, you actually need to breach the rock wall to get into to bunker. Its like how you can punch things like computers or toasters ingame and they fall over, but you need high explosives or a raiding weapon to brake this wall. Its meant to be one of the most late-game areas you can go to, with some of the best loot drops, hence why its blocked like that, requiring the use of high powered tools to enter. Imagine it like a fake wall kinda deal, only accessible to those with the tools and knowledge.

Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe locking it behind a keycarded door or something instead might be better that way people know that, yes, you can enter.
