Looking for modders who know how to edit/change/add animations to allow units to play visually correct animations, and fix T-pose issues that exist in other formations like spear square so I can finally add them

Important note:
Because of the weirdness of Warhammer formations there is one oddity I can't fix because it seems to be hardcoded, however there's an easy work around. For foot soldiers with the formation activated if you right click and drag and you go to far the formation will glitch and the soldiers will form a circle near the edge of it. When you see the formation start to glitch up when dragging out, reduce the drag amount until the formation preview stops flickering. There should be no mini lines in the formation, just normal straight even lines.



This mod builds off of Crynsos' mod in Warhammer 2 by simplifying the amount of formations each unit has and making it more light weight and compatible with other overhaul mods.

Most Spearmen with shields have Spear Wall, Spearmen without a shield have Pike Wall, and units with swords, maces, etc. and also have a shield get Shield Wall.

Most cavalry now have Wedge formation, and flying cavalry have Flying Wedge. In addition, missile cavalry units have Swooping Crane.

Also, you can easily exit a foot soldier formation in combat if you right click attack an enemy. It might take a few tries to get the charge to happen.

There are also variants of most formations to make it fit more in line with that faction.

For those asking for more formations, the main reason I don't want to add anymore is because Warhammer is very finicky with formations. The ones in this mod work well, but other formations like pike square are very broken and feature T-Poses. If CA ever fixes these I will add them, but until then I won't be adding them.

(Anyone have a more Warhammery name?) +Cavalry archers run around in a circle making it harder for enemy range to hit them. -They'll eventually run out of vigor if they keep in this formation for to long.


This should be perfectly compatible with any overhaul mods, but any custom modded units won't have access to the formations.


If you make a translation, or a sub mod adding units, let me know and I can add it to this page to make it easier to find. It's very easy to make a submod. If you want to add units from your favorite overhaul mod then please do it, because unless I also use that mod I won't take the time to add something like Radious because I don't play it.

Is it intended not to work with beastmen? None of the formations work with ungor, gor, or centigor (cav)

when can check this mod update...? :(
if when using this mod of shield wall or other positions,
and if they units made formation in the long time battle,
they are just make the crash and stop the game :(

So I remember there was a crash that resulted from hybrid units using the formations in this mod, does that still occur?
