Description
Boom's Babylon Rework

Babylon is indisputably the most broken civ in the game. The ability to leapfrog technologies is a fun gimmick, but for me at least, quickly becomes somewhat pointless since it is so easy and powerful. In addition, the bonuses to constructing districts for the first time kind of conflict with the Palgum, since it allows you to grow large cities, which are good at constructing multiple districts, multiple times across your cities.

Thus, in this mod, I aim to remove the too-powerful Eureka mechanic, and instead give Babylon various bonuses focusing on growing tall and building multiple district types in order to make them a powerful generalist civilization, but still with a bonus to science.

The Eureka mechanic and science penalty have been removed, and replaced with a new ability that grants percentage science for pop, as well as a burst of Great People points when earning a Eureka. The leader ability of free buildings has also been replaced, with a yield bonus to the formerly free buildings depending on number of districts in the city. Finally, the Palgum has received an amenity to aid growing tall.

Leader Ability: Ninu Ilu Sirum
  • Removed free building in specialty districts constructed for the first time
  • Gains +50% production to the first buildings of specialty districts
    • Ex: Shrine, library, etc.
    • Does not apply to Government Plaza buildings
  • These buildings gain +1 of the respective yield for every specialty district in the city
    • Ex: Library in a city with 2 specialty districts gains +2 science, market gains +2 gold, etc.
    • Barracks and Stable provide Production, and Lighthouse provides Food
    • Consulate, Plaza buildings, and entertainment buildings provide nothing extra

Civilization Ability: Enuma Anu Enlil
  • Science malus and 100% Eurekas removed
  • Earning a Eureka grants a burst of Great Person points for every district type present in your capital (triggering a eureka when a theater square is present in your capital grants writer points, campus grants scientist points, etc.)
  • Cities gain +1% Science for every population they have

Unique Infrastructure: Palgum
  • Now provides +1 Amenity

Compatibility
This mod should be compatible with all other mods. It will not have any bonuses for tier 1 buildings introduced by other mods (such as JNR's district expansion mods). May or may not cause desync in multiplayer. It might be ok but if you want to be safe don't use it.

Special thanks to Sailor Cat who is always very patient with my dumb questions.
Please feel free to leave feedback about compatibility, balance, bugs or anything else you would like to say to me :). Please enjoy my Babylon rework!

So, I also got this error in single player, but it doesn't cause desynch(since well, I'm on my own) it happens when the Eureka effect triggers,

unfortunately, mods containing lua inherently cause instability in multiplayer, and I am not knowledgeable enough about the cause to fix it. sorry.

BOOM_ENUMA_ANU_ENLIL_EUREKA_GP_BURST.lua:61: attempt to index a nil value

there seems to be a slight error that's being caused by this mod in multiplayer.
