Halle (Saale) Wasserturm Süd No.1

Hello Folks,

today's next entry for the "Altbau" series is this here water tower.
Built between July 1927 and August 1928 in the southern part of Halle (Saale), this 45.6 meter tall water tower has a decagonal outline with three vertical main parts.
The water tank inside holds 2000 cubic meters of water and sits on 20 concrete support pillars, keeping the city's water pressure constant even up to this day.
The tower is one of the most important examples of functional-expressive brickwork in Germany.
Its only decorative element is a quote from Goethes Faust II: "Alles ist aus dem Wasser entsprungen, alles wird durch das Wasser erhalten" which roughly translates to "Everything arose from water, everything is sustained by water".

I always adored this awe-inspiring work of architecture, designed by who is probably our city's most important architect, Wilhelm Jost.
I had the pleasure of taking the 200 stairs up to the top and enjoying the awesome view back in 2015, when the tower was opened to the public.

One thing noteworthy about the model is that it's rather un-optimized, the UV-mapping is definitely not my best work. I really wanted to do this project but also get it done in time, so I didn't spend that much time optimizing it.
I still hope you people enjoy it as much as I do, and I look forward to seeing it in screenshots of your cities.
As always, feedback is greatly appreciated, and especially important for the start of this series so I can use it to improve my upcoming "Altbau" assets.



The tower can be found under its name "HAL Altbau Wasserturm Süd No.1", or alternatively by searching for "German" or "water tower".
The plot is circular and around 3x5 units big.
All of the brickwork is color-mapped.
The stats are the same as the large water tower from the sunset harbor DLC, minus the pollution.
I will upload a version "No.2" with a round first floor sometime in the future.
