Ramp Equalizer

Description
Provides a continuous inclination on existing track or street ramps.

Because the game aligns ramps very closely with the terrain, unnatural bumps often form. This is not only visually disturbing, but also has the constructive disadvantage that the ramps are too steep in some places. Often, even when re-laying, it will not be possible to achieve a precise continuous inclination. The Ramp Equalizer provides a remedy. Mark the start and end of the ramp section to be equalized with the respective marker, selectable at the 'Assets' menu in the 'Tools' category. Then choose the Ramp Equalizer also located there (the inclination symbol) and click on the marked section - or just somewhere in the terrain. The inclination of the ramp is calculated and smoothed. Also very suitable for vertical straightening and changing the height of bridges.

Important notes:

- The 'Marker Start/End' mod (preferably from 1.9) must be installed.
- Special information on the individual settings is available as tooltips in the 'Assets' 'Settings' dialog: Simply touch the corresponding elements with the mouse cursor! Furthermore there is an instruction as a PDF file in the 'documents' directory of the mod.
- Processing always runs in the direction of the marking arrows. The height at the start of the marked section cannot and also should not be changed. This also applies to the inclination, unless the start of the section is open and [START + END] is selected at 'Preferably continuous inclination'.
- The actual continuous inclination is regularly generated from the end of the start segment or - with a knee position at 100 % - from the end of the second segment. The same applies to the end of the section in AUTO mode, too. A vertical curve occurs between the given inclination at the start or end of the ramp and the actual ramp inclination. The length of the transition area can be adjusted within certain limits. Better results for short inclination changes are achieved by splitting long end segments, e.g. with a splitter tool.
- There must be no intersections, constructions (stations, rigid segments or switches) or interruptions within the marked section.
- Transitional areas (changes in road width, tight curves between straights) do not interfere with processing, but can lead to inaccuracies. The well-known bumps are system-related and cannot even be removed with this mod.
- Parallel tracks can only be edited separately. If there are curves, parallel inclinations deviate from one another. Totally exact results can only be achieved by laying new adjacent tracks.
- Use at streets in built-up areas leads to the destruction of the adjacent AI development.
- The section length is limited to 50 segments.
- 'Restore' does not work after subsequent changes to segments.
- The message 'Too much slope' can be skipped by switching off 'Check collision and limits'. However, it does mean that a potentially problematic inclination will actually occur.
- The integrated info panel offers a control option. In addition, the 'Info Tool' mod is recommended. The arrangement of the track and street segments can be made visible in the debug mode of the game by pressing [ALT GR] + [L].
- To avoid conflicts with the AI and to speed up processing, it is advisable to only carry out construction work in pause mode.
- The mod does not contain its own tracks or streets and can easily be removed again.

Known issues:

- The markers and the info panel remain active when selecting assets such as the eraser or groups of trees sending no feedback when toggled.

I already doubted if I had forgotton the most important thing in the description. But I did write: "Then choose the Ramp Equalizer also located there (the inclination symbol) and click on the marked section - or just somewhere in the terrain."

thank you a lot.Now i know the reason.the mod has worked. The video is really useful.I did't know the step "click somewhere" before,i thought a button written start or ok somewhere or just a key on the keyboard.....Sorry to trouble you with such a simple question.....:steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm:

At first you have to set the markers. Select the Marker icon. You MUST have installed the "marker Start/End" mod! Left-click for the start, right-click for the end (it's new!) Then change to the Ramp Equalizer Icon, as a beginner keep all settings and click somewhere. Then it should work. Please always read the instructions! You could also have a lok at a video. It's not from me and in German, but you should see how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfVpn3QPCh4

Look for further updates the next days/hours! At this moment I'm working on a problem I've noticed at the last minute: The info panel is not always updated. Finding a solution is not so simple, but everything else seems to work well.
