Red Rocket

Description
The amazing Red Rocket from fallout comes to the map PZ style.
Its not a perfect replica, no custom items but for me, its enough. Comes with gas pumps, storage crate, and a lake out back.
issues: item spawn in the building is a little off, spawning mainly pens and paper in wrong areas.

Update*
-Construction items by the road are now able to be picked up/destroyed.
-Added foraging/water zones.

Made a new map, its called sanctuary! check it out. It will put ur red rocket right out side of louisville and offer an area fit for settlement building.

Red rocket (and custom buildings) are made separate from the map, they are made then saved as a file to be uploaded to tilezed and worlded. With that being said, if you had the file for red rocket the building, you could probably get the map files from a mod, upload it into worlded and tilezed, place the building file in, save it and put it in the game. I could try it out and see if it works cause I’ve never done it.

to be more specific, what if you wanted to put your Red Rocket in a place that there's a city map mod, can you just "cut out" just the build and put wherever you want or it has to overwrite the entire cell?

Can one make a simple change and not mess up an entire cell? like if I just want to change 1 specific thing and want compatibility with other map mods that change that city/location, is that possible or I have to make a 300x300?

its basically you download the files from the forum they give you, it will be like a tile pack and then another link for worled and tiled or tilezed, you draw/paint the map corresponding to your cell size, so my maps one cell, which is 300x300 pixels, also you draw the zombie spawn and vegetation spawn, after that you convert some data, put it in a certain folder structure, and into the pz mod folder, I could always help if you wannna get more in depth with it, this is just the general basic steps of it. its not complicated at all just really specific.

at first it was very hard, it seemed every time I had to troubleshoot an issue, I would fix it only to have another issues lurking around the corner, now that I did this map I understand a lot more of why my mistakes were happenin. Also the tutorials and how tos werent all that great, they were either a word splurg or the videos had people clicking through tons of files, the forums helped with most issues but i had to go through them for a pretty long while to find my issues. So at the start yes it was hard but now its kinda easy. also tutorials are dry, theres very few videos out there. And I think sanctuary would be cool especially cause NPCs are coming and I remember having sanctuary be home base settlement but who knows maybe ill expand and that would be an interesting location.

Also, how do one make a pz map? Is it hard?
Thunderator Feb 20, 2022 @ 1:36pm
wooow, that will be hard. You could try to make Covenant because it's a gated community and a lot smaller than sanctuary, or maybe bunker hill, but it's bigger. You could try something easier and do one of the Starlight Drive-In Cinemas, because the game already have a Drive-in south of Rosewood, my god so many possibilities
