Description
Hydrolysis Reactor - Extract Oxygen From Water!
👍 New extractor takes water from deposits, converting some of it to oxygen
👍 Excess water is usable in the life support grid like any other water
👍 Additionally produces +100% oxygen and power with upgrades

New building 'Hydrolysis Reactor' takes 3 water from underground deposits and converts it to oxygen. 2 water which is not converted can be used in the life support grid like any other water. Tourists find the Hydrolysis Reactor to be an amazing feat of Martian science and engineering, making it a good stop for tours.

The reactor requires maintenance of Machine Parts x2 and a water deposit to continue working. It costs the following resources to build:
👍 Concrete x5
👍 Metals x4
👍 Electronics x1
👍 Machine Parts x2

The Hydrolysis Reactor has three upgrades available.

1) Magnetic Filtering (works exactly the same as a MOXIE)
👍 Unlocked by researching 'Magnetic Filtering'
👍 +50% oxygen production
👍 Costs Polymers x5

2) Advanced Reactions
👍 Unlocked by researching 'Nuclear Fusion'
👍 Power Production = 2 * Oxygen Production
👍 Costs Electronics x2 and Rare Metals x1

3) Moisture Farming
👍 Unlocked by researching 'Moisture Farming'
👍 +50% oxygen
👍 Costs Polymers x5 and Metals x2

This building can be built in domes.

Mod Option:
👍Disable MOXIEs

Sadly I sometimes forget that Steam ignores the config file and I have to come and do it manually.

@Fizzle_Fuze you should put in the requisites for this mod your library (Fizzle Fuze's Library) for use it this mod without error

The reason it is disabled is because someone reported it, so Paradox automagically blocked it. I e-mailed them to review the problem last week, but I have not received a reply yet. I'll contact them again to get this sorted.

So when I just went into my game, this is now showing it is disabled and no longer avail through the actual mods "store" in game.

@Sampsa I just published an update which scales the oxygen production with the deposit grade as you requested. Enjoy! :)

The mod is programmed to dynamically use a model which is available to the player regardless of which DLCs they have installed, if any. Thank you for reporting that it is not working correctly, I'm looking in to it.

Judging by the fact I get a plain grey single storey hexagon when I build it I guess this is using an asset from Below & Beyond. If so it'd be a good idea to put that in the description of your mod, probably near the top. Sadly I'm going to uninstall the mod because although it sounds good grey hexagons are just ugly and I'm not keen on buying a fairly negatively received DLC just to get an asset for a mod.

A suggestion: The water production is influenced by the grade of the water deposit, but the oxygen production is not. Would it be possible to also make the oxygen production be lower/higher depending on the deposit?
