Description
European | 1:1 Scale | Mods Required

This map is based on a 1:1 scale heightmap of Bern, the federal capital city of Switzerland. Bern lies on the Swiss plateau in the canton of Bern. The city was originally built on a hilly peninsula surrounded by the river Aare. The map includes the key highway interchanges on the A1, A12 and A6 for access to the 25 tiles. Bern is well served by railways, with the extensive S-Bahn network and 10 regional and international outside connections.

Instructions
  1. Subscribe to all assets and mods within the relevant linked collection. 'Optional Items Collection' includes Procedural Objects, however the map will load without these.
  2. Start Cities Skylines, enter Content Manager to activate any new mods. Ensure your 'Tree Anarchy' settings enable at least 1 million trees on load otherwise your map will be broken.
  3. Map is now ready for playing.
  4. Any railway catenary and props must be selected in the Railway Replacer by pressing SHIFT + ALT + P. Familarise yourself with the Railway Replacer Mod and the Railway 2 Collection - link
  5. Setup TMPE lane connectors at junctions if vehicles cross the central barrier.
  6. Switch on 'Advanced Vehicle AI' in TMPE and increase the Dynamic Lane Selection to maximise correct vehicle use of the highway network.

Aerial Overlay...

Finally...
I'd welcome your feedback and questions via the comments below.

The use of PO'd castle assets in lieu of the Bern Munster is merely a placeholder for that feature, please delete.

When will you be able to make this tutorial?

Hi @IsChai I'll post a tutorial on the Discord at some point

How do you get a 8k map? Do you take a lot of screenshots and stitch them together (how I do it), or some other way?

Wow, congratulations on accuracy then @uncle ron! A few years ago I heard about a mod that also reproduced the forests while importing a map (using programs like terrain party, which no longer seems to work by the way), but I haven't heard of it anymore...

Thank you @giG34 forest layouts all drawn by hand and eye using an 8k overlay to get an accurate shape

YOUR MAPS ARE THE BEST! Great works! (PS: How did you paste the forest layouts? That's really interesting)

Trying that! I also realized I hadn't followed your instructions properly, but now instead of the map loading incorrectly it just crashes right at the end of the loading process. Trying the fixed version now!

@olepederhagen a fix was published today to address any missing asset issue. Please unsubscribe and subscribe to check again.

Would love to play this map, though!

Not working for me either... just a green map with water, no other features at all. Roads, trees, nothing... I also get that error message that says '*something* missing'... can't remember it now, so not much help, but the one that you can't get rid of when objects are missing.
