Description
This mod changes the Scotland Civilization trait and their leader, Robert the Bruce.

Scotland is a strange country in Civ. They have an absolutely horrible highlander, an awkward one per city golf park, a policy for liberating and a policy for science and production. It just is not very well aligned. So in this mod I change Scotland into a defensive country that is best put on hills. I also added a strong start bias towards hills, so you will not start without one.

Land Combat Units in your territory gain +5 Combat Strength when attacking and +10 Combat Strength when defending. (NEW)

All units receive +1 Movement when starting on hill tiles. (NEW)

I will accept reasonable suggestions for the Golf Course and Highlander because I could not think of any good way to change them.

If anyone else has a country they want me to rework, tell me in the comments. Also tell me how you want the new focus to be.

IMO the best way to make the Highlander viable would be to change it from a ranger replacement to a line infantry replacement.

Just change the stats so that it ignores the movement cost of hills and woods and has a combat strength bonus when fighting on rough terrain. Maybe give it a "Highland Charge" ability so that it gains +5 combat strength for each point of movement it spends.

Perhaps the Highlander could gain 1 extra sight while on top of a hill, so it could potentially gain a massive sight of 4? Would have a stronger use as a late game explorer, be able to see enemy army formations with ease, and help with sight for ranged attacks while still fitting with the hill theme of the civ.

Also One Quick Thing Nothing to do with your mod more a Firaxis thing, the Highlander should be called Jacobite, as that is what they are, Highlander is essentially a Culture Group in Scotland that is named quite literally because they from the Highlands of Scotland. Just wondering if it's possible if you can Change the Name of the Unit to fit them more.
