Description
One of the Rio Grande's long time claims to fame was moving large quantities of coal from mines in Utah and Colorado to other railroads for further interchange. Westbounds faced the tough climb over Soldier Summit, often requiring multiple sets of helpers. You are in charge of train running from the mine at Sunnyside, Utah, to Provo for interchange to Union Pacific for the run to the power plant at Moapa, Nevada. You have just had helpers added at Helper and now have a trio of SD40T-2s mid-train and at the back in addition to the trio of SD50s on point. You should now have plenty of power for the climb to the summit. Good luck. Duration: 55 Mins. Difficulty: Medium.
