USS Cygnus

ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ
This is my version of the iconic spaceship from the 1979 Walt Disney movie "The Black Hole", a truly silly movie based on our knowledge of space at the time it was released. But still a great movie and this is a great ship. How many spaceships can you name that are a mile long and made of glass? I have tried my best to recreate this for you.

This is a full loaded T4 capital vessel that is very quick and agile for turning and running from the smallest of drone ships. It does have some guns, they used them in the movie when they killed Ernest Borgnine, but I would hesitate to use them except maybe against an injured, unarmed target. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Yes, you will lack in nothing, a full medbay, kitchen, crafting, plenty of storage containers to lose your stuff in, teleporter, you name it. Except for maybe those tram cars they had in the movie or the Futurama tubes this game so needs because, well everything is a mile away. Just don't ask how far the bathroom is from the command seat.

This ship has many excesses included at no extra cost. I do like to build Cheap Vessels. You have power to spare enough to light a small city for a year. And you will fear no gravity well, except for trees, rocks, mountains etc. that you will most likely scrape on with this whale. And leaving atmosphere is not issue, this baby has the thrust to pull out of... The Black Hole.

Hope you guys enjoy this.

I figured out a tram for this ship:

That sounds weird, but I am so glad you got it figured out. And thanks again for all your praise. I had a lot of fun building this ship, and the folks on my server really enjoyed finding this ship out in space. Good gaming my friend!

Thank you very much. Here is what I ended up doing. I went to the Steam folder that has all of my subscriptions in it and found the Cygnus. I copies the folder and placed it in my Blueprints folder and presto. It is now in my owned list. Near as I can guess I have to many ships or something. By doing this I found out that not all of my subscriptions are showing up. The Cygnus is jaw dropping awesome to look at. There are so many places to park this ship to get a great screenshot. The view with the music just works. Thanks again for doing this one. I had to do this with the Palomino as well.

jdoog67333, I have no clue what is causing your issue, maybe we can figure this out. I just started a new single player game and had no issues seeing the blueprint on my end.

1. When I first uploaded this ship it was a POI. I had some lockers in the back rooms of the ship that were not legal blocks for a ship. I figured this out after like 3 days and updated the ship so it would be a CV not a POI.

2. This is a size class 38 ship. On a normal multi-player server the default size class limit I think is 20. To play this on my server I had to adjust this setting.

3. There is a mod/game called EV? I think it's eden something. I have no clue what it is but there are many ship designs on the workshop for this. I can't find this so I can't help you if this is the issue.

My suggestion would be to start a single player creative orbit game and see if you can spawn it in there. I'll keep checking back here for your reply. I am willing to work with you to get this issue resolved.

For some reason this ship is not showing up in the blueprint spawn menu.

Hey guys, thanks for your comments, been posting things on various workshops for like 7 years and these are my first comments. You made my whole day!

Shark, thanks for the heads up about the other persons build, I wish I had seen it earlier. I'll be checking it out today and I'm thinking about making changes in mine to allow docking.

Thank you for making this!!!!

I would recommend adapting the model to work with this Palomino to compliment it for a perfect Black Hole set.
