Primitive Techs – Mud and Clay

Getting started

Mud is collected from the ground using a spot that can be built for free. You will find it under the MUD category in the build menu. You will first need to unlock a level 1 technology called "Mud Digging". If you choose a place rich in ground water, your collection spot will let you gather mud at an increased rate.

Note : all the technologies are in the Low-tech tab of the research bench.

With the Mud Digging technology comes the ability to bake discs of mud known as "Mudsnacks". Those are food items with a very poor nutrition value.

After you've completed the first research, there is a whole tech tree awaiting to be unlocked. The next research on the list is "Crude Ceramics" : it will let you craft gear, pots and other commodities at the dedicated stations.

Version 2 is here !

Version 2 adds buildable insect nests, cooking pots and mud-based plants, as well as mud brick architecture. Juicepipe is a new crop that can be used as an ingredient or turned into a blowgun. The clay ammunition is crafted in the Clay Firing Pit (Wares). Termite Mounds will give you an extra source of food, while Adobe Huts will accomodate your squads.

Ongoing development

This mod doesn't change anything in the vanilla files and your game shouldn't need importing.

All the 3D models are custom-made by me.

If you would like to use this mod in one of your projects, please get in touch with me. Dependency is required unless agreed otherwise.

I hope you enjoy this mod. Please report any bugs that you find and feel free to share any ideas or suggestions in the comments below.

I find it works great with Interactive World : Kenshi+ (v2.0) for survival/tribal play. So I made a patch to integrate this mod into research tree.

Ping me if I'm not allowed to do this, I'll remove my patch.

Needs to be set perma-task (shift+right-click) as any other crop, for harvesting and of course you need to build storage for juicepipes. And I'd advise you build at least two mud-collection spots and mud storages & fill em up up with mud, before you start growing them juicepipes.

Works just fine like that in my setup.

I doesn't seem like it's possible to farm Juicepipes, I've put mud in the input, the progress bar is filled, the plants have grown, but nothing comes out and clicking on it to "use" it does nothing

This is a stellar mod! Houses, furniture, everything looks excellent. And the way it is all set up functionality-wise is really original & creative thinking. Very cool for a tiny crew, if you don't care much for base building, this is it.
And also the perfect decor & gear for any tribal-ish, cannibal-ish setup.

Hey great looking mod! I'm curious though does it play well with Primitive Tech - Less Early Raids? Because I'm not a huge fan of the so called "primitive shack" in that mod, I mean it should at least use the ruined shack model no?

@дрочеврат, надеюсь, ибо как минимум не хватает оружия ближнего боя. Ну и наверное не плохо было бы прикрутить рекрутинг и более валидные пути заработка, а то клепать чашки по 6 кат..

The only complain I have is that all the tech should be avariable at the start of the game instead of having to research it.
