Welcome to my Alien Isolation Live Wallpaper Compendium project!

If you love Alien Isolation as much as I do, then you’ll want to take a look at this selection of over 650 live wallpapers aimed at capturing the game’s fantastic ambience. You can subscribe to the entirety of any of my specifically curated “master packs”, or if you’re looking to pick and choose the right wallpapers for you, you can omit some of the contained collections, or go through each collection and pick out individual wallpapers.

SUMMARY:


This project contains over 650 live wallpaper shots from Alien Isolation, with a focus on atmospheric ambient shots highlighting the art and sound design of the game. All shots are recorded in ultrawide 1440p (3440 x 1440) at 60 fps, making the files usable and beautiful at most resolutions. With very few exceptions, files are recorded in increments of 15 seconds, with most files being 30 seconds long, and the longest being 2 minutes.

This project was inspired by the Alien Isolation live wallpaper collection created by Soya; his collection appears the wallpapers in this project can be used alongside those if you wish, but be aware that some shots are essentially duplicated in the interest of having full coverage in this compendium as a standalone creation.

CONTENTS:


The contents of this project are categorized in two separate ways:
The primary set are the 4 “Master Packs”, which organize the content based on broad location and purpose, as described in full just a bit below.

If you’re interested in selecting wallpapers more specifically, you would be interested in the more granular system of categorization: 33 collections, grouped by their specific location in the game.


Master Packs:

o The Alien Isolation Sevastopol Ambience Master Pack
• This collection is the largest and main focus of the project, featuring hundreds of ambient shots from throughout the campaign.
• Contains collections 2-16 of the granular categories.
• Statistics: 15.6 GB, 342 files, 2:59:04 runtime.

o The Alien Isolation DLC Collection Ambience Master Pack
• The second largest collection, this features ambient shots from all DLC content for Alien Isolation, excluding Crew Expendable and Last Survivor.
• Contains collections 20-31 from the granular categories.
• Statistics: 6.53 GB, 205 files, 1:03:35 runtime.

o The Alien Isolation Off-Station Ambience Master Pack
• This tertiary collection features ambient shots from the Anesidora, Nostromo, and Torrens – all secondary locations in Alien Isolation and its DLCs.
• Contains collections 1, 18, 32, & 33 of the granular categories.
• Statistics: 3.76 GB, 90 files, 0:33:34 runtime.

o The Alien Isolation Dynamic Master Pack
• A supplemental collection, this features more “dynamic” shots - mostly of scenes from late in the story where there the floor of the station is slowly rolling from side to side, or where there is substantial camera shake. These shots are included because they may be wanted by some, but they do not align the main goal of this project.
• Contains collections 17 & 19 of the granular categories.
