Description
Adds the Hittites led by Suppiluliuma I, a great warrior and statesmen who challenged the egyptian empire and it's contorl over the lands of the mediterranean and the euphrates.
The Hittites focus on diplomacy, bringing city states under their influence and receiving additional bonuses from being their suzerain. Their Royal Archives rewards sending delegations, but for when diplomacy fails it also provides influence from being present in any capital. Their sturdy three-man chariot, the Ansukurra, is a strong force in the early game and gains it's greatest advantages on hilly terrain and in great numbers.
As an additional bonus, explore the land for fallen meteors and collect additional rewards.

Hittites

  • +100% Diplomatic Favor from Suzerainty of City-States and Alliance Level.
  • Meteor Sites also grant a Tribal Village reward.

Ansukurra (Replaces Heavy Chariot)
  • Higher Combat Strength (32 vs. 28) but more expensive to produce (80 vs. 65)
  • Unlike the Heavy Chariot, does not receive additional bonus movement when starting in open terrain, but instead ignores the additional cost of moving on hills.

  • Provides +1 Influence Point when built in a Capital.
  • +1 Science for every Delegation or Embassy in a foreign civilization through diplomacy. (Capped off at four Royal Archives)

  • Occupied cities exert increased loyalty pressure (+10%).

Oathtaker
  • Likes Civilizations who form alliances or befriend city-states. Dislikes Civilizations that declare surprise wars and do not establish alliances.

Just gonna say, this is absolutely the best Hittite mod out there, really just amazingly done.
Kudos to you.
I have previously noted this but, the Ankussura does struggle to find much use due to its position as a hard to produce, ancient era unit (by the time you have enough to attack anyone its the classical era and you have swordsmen and horsmen),my recommendation is for it to gain +3 combat strength when swordsmen are unlocked, so you still have equal footing at the very start of the Classical Era.
Another thing I did note, having a reduced original capitals penalty would be a boon for the Hittite, again just a little nitpick. Overall its nigh on perfect, I just have 2 nitpicks.

Oh right, i see what you mean now. The influence point icon exists in the game, it just isn't used normally in the way i've used it. I didn't realise actually that they don't normally use a text icon for influence.

Thanks, I have that mod but don't see the Influence Points icon (except in the civ's description). Did you make it custom?

Unrelated to the mod itself, but I was wondering what mod you used to add an icon for Influence Points like in the civ description?

Updated to fix an issue with the Mari City State icon remaining as the Hattusa icon if you use Better Civ Icons.

I would say the Ankussura is a small bit under-powered, just because of its awkward position in the tech tree, and its low~ish combat power, probaby should gain some Combat Power in the Classical Era, just to properly keep up

Prob Should Reduce/Remove the Favor Penalty for Capital bc of the Hittites diplomatic bend.

Awesome Civ! Feel like the influence towards City States for the Library built in a Capital is a bit offset by the Favor penalty for occupying a former capital though, no? Not sure how you are supposed to play this. Would be cool if it reduced the Favor penalty by 2 or something!

Ah shame :( Wanted to see if you could do a Lombardy civ. Thanks though!
