LoW - Legion of Myrmidia

Description
Introduction
Hey hey people i'm back. This time with a returning and updated mod for the Empire, adding new units for all it's major factions. Being the Goddess of War, Myrmidia attracts all kind of warriors looking for her favour.
Founded by Knights of the Blazing Sun her legions wear stunning black and gold colors.

New Hero
The Priestess of Myrmidia is akin to a warrior priest, decent in combat, able to cast battle prayers, buff units around them and they come with a variety of mounts including Great Eagles and Griffons. Recruited from the new temple building.

New Units
The bulk of the new army is made of infantry with some options for cavalry and artilery. I tried making different units serve different purposes even though many are variations of the same unit with different equipment for whatever you need to fight.
  • Infantry Units
    • The bulk of the army are the Legionaries, well trained and decently armoured they come in different variations such as Spearmen, Swordsmen,
      Pikemen, Halberdiers, Longbows, Crossbowmen, and Pavese Crossbowmen. Simple units that don't need too much explaining, well armoured and capable of filling different roles.
    • Eagle Infantry is available as 2 variants, Eagle Warriors are a mix of melee and ranged, armed with pistols, sword and shield they are versatile units, while the Eagle Marksmen can gun down enemies from afar while being very accurate, they can deploy as vanguard and whitle down approaching forces.
    • Exalted Warriors are armed to the teeth, armed with sword, greatsword and shield theycan deal with infantry effectively. Recruited from Myrmidia's Temple.
    • Myrmidian Guard are the guardians of Myrmidia's Temples, given their background they are very strong capped defensive units, the cap increases with each temple built.
    • The Myrmidons are the best infantry units you can have, blessed by the Goddess of War herself they never tire of fighting and can deal with everything pretty well. They are also capped units.
  • Cavalry
    • The legion has well armed and trained Knights, equipped either for prolongued melee combat or to deal devastating charges they are worth having a couple in an army.
    • Exalted Knights are the mounted version of Exalted Warriors, greatswords at the ready they are the equivalent of Questing Knights.
    • The last 2 cavalry units are 2 variants of Demigryph Knights, Halberdiers or Lancers.
  • Artillery
    • Scorpion Ballistaes are versatile bolt throwers with a little explosive surprise on impact.
    • Blazing Sun Trebuchets are your siege weapons, as you might have realized they throw fiery rocks over whoever is in that castle over there that you don't like.

New Buildings
For now there are 2 new buildings, one which serves as barracks and recruits most of the units and a new temple dedicated to Myrmidia which will unlock Priestesses, increase the cap for heroes and allow you to increase the cap for special units such as the Myrmidian Guard and Myrmidons.

AI&Exclusivity
Units will not be recruitable by the AI for now and are only available for the major Empire factions. AI will make use of them at a later date.

Tech/Skills Notes
Units will scale with the most appropriate skill trees from vanilla units, such as units with halberds scaling with halberdier tech/skills. Some units will benefit from both ranged skills/tech and melee buffs.


What's next
For one this mod isn't finished and i intend to add more to it over time at a later date, but i want to work on something else now as i got burned on this one so this is out here to get some feedback/suggestions for new units or maybe changes.
Updates to some of my other mods will follow slowly.

SFO?
Not any plans at the moment as i don't play with SFO so i wouldn't know how to balance around it. If someone wants to make an SFO patch they can contact and ask me.

Southern Realms?
Yes the mod should work with Border Princes, Estalia or Tilea with or without Cataph's TEB.
Some issues are missing names for heroes, units lines not playing in battle and the units not working with the modded skill trees and technologies, meaning no unit scaling for now, will have to try and fix later.

  1. No taking of any assets in this mod unless you ask for permission, it's kinda rude to take stuff without asking.
  2. I will not personnally make compability patches with other big overhaul mods, if you want to make your own patch feel free to contact me, i'm easy to reach.
  3. Translation mods are welcome just link and have the original mod as a requirement.
  4. The mod will work 100% of the time in vanilla, crashes when using other mods are not my responsability. I try to make the mod as compattible as possible but something can go wrong, if it crashes try launching the mod on it's own first and then see what mods you could be using that conflict.
  5. Mod works fine with my other mods from the series.

Can't live without this mod on wh3, considering going back to wh2 just for this, is there a port? Does anyone know how to port it?

im sure that this is going to be ignored, but is there anyway you would be able to port this over to Wh3? i have really enjoyed this mod and would like the experience to be continued into wh3.

@Macho Chunko, hello bro hope you are fine. I tried to port the necessary elements to WH3,i created everything, it works in game but seems like assets are all black. Actually i can see all armor,weapons and other things, but because this textures was made for WH:II it's not totally working for Warhammer 3. Are you going to port this mod to WH:III if not do you have any suggestion how can i fix the texture models? Have a nice day!
