Description


Want to deliver some cargo? Are those containers too clumsy?

Simply grab that crate, toss it into your pickup and off you go!

Or are those puny containers no challenge for your ingenious contraptions and you're up for a real challenge? Then test your 50m mech on those 15t cable drums for some recreational dodgeball.

1.16 Performance Hotfix
The performance issues have been identified by Holy Crusader, thanks for that!
Crab cages and cargo zones have been removed due to this.

Contents
This environment mod will add a variety of cargo objects, ranging from an in game mass of 25, which can be easily carried by hand, up to 15t cable drums which will provide a different challenge for vehicle builders to mull about.

New Cargo Terminals will be added to the Creative Island and Dreimor Airstrip.
These terminals will generate smaller cargo to be delivered to various locations.
An additional cargo terminal for large/heavy cargo has been added to the Dean Hall Quarry.

The default container system has also been enhanced by a 11x11x11 medical crate, a full size 11x11x29 medical container, as well as various cable drums and sewer pipes awaiting to be delivered.

Cargo can be lifted by hand, bigger crates provide mounting points for ropes, electrical connectors as well as sliding grippers to provide improved forklift control.

The 300 and 600 mass medicrates can be dropped with a parachute. The parachute will deploy on its own when no electrical connector is connected and it's below 150m altitude.
You can also force the parachute to deploy by sending an on signal on channel 1 to any of the crates electrical connectors.

How to use
  1. Make a new game
  2. Select your game mode of choice
  3. Click on "Enabled Addons"
  4. Go to the Workshop tab
  5. Select "GOM Cargo Additions" so the checkbox is checked
  6. Go back and confirm

Pick Up = Location provides the resource
Deliver = Location receives the resource

Performance issues should be fixed now, fault was with the crab cages, hence I removed the crab cages, buoys and related cargo terminals in the arctic and sawyer island.

Cargo can bug out and cease to spawn, try making a new game and make sure to select the addOn in the options when creating the new game.

Does this mod still work as of the rod update? I'm seeing delivery locations and their posts but i'm not seeing any actual cargo anywhere.

ah, kk. I haven't played stormworks in a while. I didn't know if it was a issue or not so sorry for bringing it up.
Honestly though just knowing that this mod is working again makes me want to boot up the game again, I really did enjoy making boats and helicopters to transport all the different cargoes that this mod offers.

I can recall a brief period where stuff wouldn't spawn properly, was most dominant for the crab cages not spawning at all, then it fixed itself after some update without any doing on my part.

Currently there aren't any spawn issues I'm aware of.
