Antonov An-8

Description
This is a pretty close replica of the Antonov An-8 military transport plane designed in the 1950s. Featuring two turboprop engines, a pretty large cruising distance, three ISO standards compatibility and mag-alls for loose cargo, this transport plane is a reliable and powerful workhorse for moving cargo over great distances.

FEATURES
-Supports switching inputs between Captain and First Officer, has support for Joystick in Captain's seat.
-Precise and reliable altitude hold to FL99 (limit of displays, can actually go higher but it will look wonky)
-Autopilot towards input coordinates
-Navigational Lighting with strobes and solid wingtip lights
-Mag-All "Parking Brakes" for when you don't want to slide around while loading cargo
-Support for AirISO, AISO and ISO containers up to ULD6, 20ft (27 blocks) and 20ft (24 blocks) sizes respectively.
-Large Cargo Ramp
-Two Cargo Winches in case you need to pull a heavy container in by its connectors
-Moderately Detailed Cockpit with IR capable HUD for night landings by the Captain
-Navigator and Flight Engineer Positions
-Passenger seating in the cargo hold
-Several sets of arctic clothing and parachutes, as well as one set of firefighting gear.
-Reversible Propeller Pitch for backing up without separate support vehicles.
-Roughly 200km range at roughly 170kts AIS (watch your engine RPS!).
-Independent under-wing fuelling ports, with crossfeed valves between wing tanks.
MOSTLY MULTIPLAYER FRIENDLY -- An impact of about 5fps was measured in worst conditions

Engine Startup and Take-off Instructions
1. Toggle Internal Power on Overhead panel
2. Toggle Lighting Power on Overhead panel
3. Toggle Avionics, Pumps and Engine on Overhead panel
4. Toggle Internal and External Lighting on Overhead panel
5. Toggle L and R Fuel Pumps
6. Throttle up the Engine Throttle on the Flight Engineering Panel (behind F/O)
7. Toggle L and R Engine on Overhead Panel
8. Ensure engines spin up to a satisfactory speed before applying propeller pitch
9. Ensure parking brake is disabled on Overhead panel
10. Throttle up the Propeller Pitch GENTLY throttle between the Captain and F/O seats.
11. Taxi as necessary.
12. Engage brakes (action 3 in C seat), propeller pitch to 0.
13. Set in target destination on left keyboard, set up target altitude on middle forward panel
14. Throttle engine to full, release brakes (action 3 in C seat), set propeller pitch to about a quarter.
15. Pitch up gently to avoid tail strike
16. Once you are airborne, retract the landing gear by flipping up the switch on the middle console.
17. Engage AP Destination and AP Altitude as necessary, ensure nominal AP control before relaxing.

When landing, ensure you throttle down on the Engine Throttle, and you arm the Auto-Braking on the middle console. This will gradually apply braking on the wheels and immediately set propeller pitch to negative when the plane is very close to the ground, so expect a drastic decrease in flight speed and lift as it slows down just before touch-down.

beautiful model, the detail is impressive,it is almost impossible to manually fly with the controls reversed and sudden overturns decreasing the propeller.I leave the prize hoping that the flight model will be updated:steamthumbsup:
