Cogita Bellum - Alpha Version

Description
Cogita Bellum: Massive Conversion Mod

First things first. This is a mod in progress, changes will come. Hope you enjoy, PLEASE dont forget to "RATE" it if you find it to your liking! Otherwise, if not enough people vote, it wont show rating at all in the steam workshop.
Furthere more, english is not my main language. With that said, here's a resume of the mod.

This is a mod aiming to change up both the early, mid and late gameplay of EU4. Complete rework of the ideas, adding two tiers to them. Every idea group have "normal ideas" that work just as previously. Then two ideas in every group are "special" and they are labeled as Doctrine, Agenda or Effort. There ideas are special in the regard that they are very strong, but also have negative modifiers for balance.
Naval importance are increased and almost all aspects have been modified. New naval doctrine, crossings removed, flagships, total naval blockade disrupts trade and much more.
Along with that the overall economy have been changed, basically everything is more expensive along with the fact that everything is better. Buildings have stronger modifier, forts are more effective and so on.
Warfare dynamic is a bit changed as well due to the fact that forts are more potent. This means you must somewhat plan you invasions a bit more than previously. Make sure you have manpower to sustain a long campaign and the money to pay for it.
The religious aspect of the game have been tweaked a bit, for example holy orders are available to many more religions now. Along with being much stronger than previously. Small changes to the passive modifiers given by religions is also new.
Lastly, new nations is and will be implemented to the game. No large game changing nations. Rather smaller nations which give new opportunities not previously possible. Small religions, previously without any precence in the game now have, or will have, a nation you can play. Which have that religion. Meaning one can play as for example a Norse country. Other reasons for implementing new countries will also occure. Along with that, a overhaul on country ideas in general is underway. Further changing up the dynamic to the game a bit.

Lastly, this is my first mod. I'm not a expert modder in any regard. Please have that in mind when waiting for things to get fixed. That along with the fact that there's only 24 hours a day and some of us actually have a life that gets in the way of fun and amazing things like Europa Universalis 4! :D

Hello, sorry for the absence! Not been able to work much on the mod recently, but I will start coming back to it soon.

Drunkenslav - Due to the mod still being in Alpha version I have not begun to work on the submod just yet. It has a lower priority than the main mod atm. Sorry!

Sherlock Halms - Absolutely! Of course you can use it during your games! The mods goal is to overall change up and balance/tweak the game, especially mid and late game.

This pretty much does balances to the game, right?

Once this mod is updated, can we play it on our server in multiplayer games (https://discord.gg/uG2ezKdDm8)? We play vanilla and modded eu4 games every week and want to try out this one once it is ready.

Songhai comes mainly into mind, my knowledge of Ajuuran limits to their clashes with the Portuguese and the destructive effects of the Little Ice Age (well, in most of Africa). So certain events about those things could be included? Songhai has a lot of things to work on. For example, Songhai often conquers most of Nigeria instead of conquering the western parts of the Sahel and/or Timbuktu. Maybe some balance or modifers can be added to prevent Songhai from doing that? Some missions to create a Trans-Saharan Empire or even establish some outposts in Brazil would be something special without deviating too much from history. Or you could also add certain events regarding the fall of Songhai at the hands of Morrocco.

PD: Not just in Africa, but the slave trade in the entire world needs to be redone. It amazes me how paradox completely disregards slavery in Indonesia, Indochina and the Americas (particularly, the Aztecs)

rolan13dito - My aim is to eventually overhaul the entire world, including the new world. So the quick answer to your question is yes, yes I will. But I cant say with what timeframe that will happen. But since you are asking I will add it to my "to do list" which will hurry up the development concerning those nations. Is there anything special you had in mind?
