Advanced Damage

Description
Adds several organs to humans and androids, reworks internal bleeding system, and adds other cool things to make killing and treating humans be realistic, and most of all, interesting. Organs and internal bleeding can be viewed in detail view, and other damage is shown in the inspect window. It can also be enabled or disabled on the fly by double pressing M - this can be rebinded.

Human additions
Rundown of the organs
  • Brain and heart - Located in the head and upper torso respectively. If the brain is destroyed, the human instantly dies. If the heart is destroyed, they will also die, but a bit slower.
  • Lungs - Located in the upper torso. When damaged, the lungs will slowly cause suffocation. Damaged lungs are not fatal as long as it isn't severe.
  • Liver - Located in the middle torso. This organ bleeds much more than others when it is damaged.
  • Stomach and intestines - Located in the middle and lower torso respectively. When damaged, they can cause infections
All organs cause both internal and external bleeding, but some organs bleed easier than others. Organs are also strengthened by ultra strength serum.

Bionic organs
So far only three organs have bionic replacements - the brain, heart, and lungs. Bionic organs are much tougher than regular ones. They don't bleed internally or externally, and they don't require oxygen or blood flow to function.

Infections
Infections are caused when the stomach and intestines are damaged. Infections slowly grow more severe in the limb they are in, slowly rotting it. Once it reaches a certain severity, the limb and all the organs in it are shut down, and the infection progresses to other limbs. Infections can be quickly dealt with by using antibiotics. Humans who have been given a good dose of ultra strength also have a much stronger immune system, and are therefore more resistant to infections.

Infections progress slowly and only appear as a result to organ damage. Due to the slow speed of growth, the main immediate threat of infection is immobilization, as it will kill the limb that it is in.

Internal bleeding
Internal bleeding is a lot like regular bleeding, except that it can't be stopped by bandages. Blood can accumulate in limbs as a result of internal bleeding, and will begin to cause damage to other organs if it is left untreated. The internal bleeding system in this mod replaces the one in vanilla.

Despite the lack of easy treatment, internal bleeding is slow enough to allow humans plenty of time to be treated before it begins to cause real damage. A human in a firefight isn't gonna keel over due to internal bleeding--that'll only be after the dust has settled.

Bone damage
The bones in a limb can fracture or shatter when it is hit with a bullet or blunt trauma. When a bone is damaged, it will fling fragments that can damage organs in other body parts, and weakens the limb it is in. It also really, really hurts.

Medical stuff
This mod adds several medical features. These include transplanting of organs, bionic organs, a surgical drain, a mender, a surgical stapler, cautery pen, and a hemostatic dressing, and a few medical syringes. These can all be found in the new medical category.

Transplant system
The transplant system allows for the addition, removal, or moving of all organs in the body. It isn't perfect, as organs are generally assumed to be in the areas they are supposed to be in, and no duplicate organs can exist in a body, but it allows for a bit. The scalpel is the heart of this system-it is the tool used for all interactions. When stabbed into a limb, it can be used to remove an organ of your choice. It also "opens" that limb, allowing other medical tools to heal bones or organs. It can also pick up organs for operation by stabbing into them. When it is holding an organ, it can then be stabbed into a limb to insert that organ into it. Organs and bionic organs are stored in transplant boxes, which can be unpacked by activating them.

Other additions and changes
The majority of blood loss is now caused by damage to organs and blood vessels. Tougher humans will bleed less as a result. Limbs can also be shot off with powerful weapons or shotguns, and a few extra sound effects can play when a limb is shot. If you have limb crushing enabled, limbs will usually be exploded instead of shot off with shotguns, which isn't ideal, so I'd personally suggest turning off limb crushing if you want juicy shotgun gore.

Android additions
Rundown of the parts
  • Computer - Located in the head. If it is destroyed, the android instantly dies.
  • Power regulator - Located in the upper torso. When destroyed, parts of the android have a random chance to spark, causing damage to them.
  • Lubricator - Located in the upper torso. This keeps the android's limbs moving smoothly. When destroyed, the android will slowly stiffen up, eventually becoming completely rigid after 60 seconds.
  • Motor computer - Located in the middle torso. When destroyed, the android will be much weaker, but not paralyzed, as the computer can take over calculations.
  • Batteries - These are located in the middle and lower torso. They keep the android powered, but are fragile. When destroyed, or randomly when shot, they will explode, causing significant damage to parts of the android. When both batteries are destroyed, the android will slowly power down.
  • Coolant pumps - These are located in the upper and lower torso. They keep the android's internals nice and relatively cool. The android will overheat when these are destroyed, but it can be saved with external cooling.
Unlike with humans, all of the android's parts are vital to its immediate survival. Because of that, all of the androids limbs are heavily armored.

Armor
At first, androids are extremely tough. They have lots of armor that can only really be penetrated by a sniper rifle or heavy fire. However, each time this armor takes a shot, it degrades, making it more and more vulnerable to weaker firearms, until it eventually provides no protection at all. This degradation is visible in the actual physical damage being dealt to the android, as well as in the inspect menu. The armor also protects the android's internals from external temperatures while it is intact.

Motors
The arms, legs, and feet of androids all have motors in them that are vulnerable to gunfire. When the armor has been sufficiently chipped away, any gunfire to these limbs has a chance to destroy the motors, leaving them extremely weak.

Compatibility
Mods that add items which affect creatures in non-vanilla ways, such as with custom syringes, will not properly affect creatures affected by this mod. Reskins of existing items are perfectly fine though, including human or android reskins.

I uninstalled this mod because I want to easily bring people back to life (which I can't seem to do with this mod). And it turns out, it's persistent and I can't get rid of it. The mod is still there and I hate it.

I greatly enjoy this mod, but one problem thats been plaguing me is limbs rotting, if someone gets hit too hard sometimes their arm just dies and it stays that way permanently, is there something im doing wrong or am I supposed to turn off a setting or something?
